So much joy to see Robert Smith looking well and collaborating with young, emerging artists. The Cure means a lot to me as their records offered an alternative to the punk scene that was losing some of its steam. My tastes cover all the corners of rock and pop music and there are several bands that represent the top of their genre. Robert, if you're reading, thanks for nearly 40 years of sonic joy.

I love The Cure since "Head on the Door" album and "Wish" is (for me) the peak of Robert`s songmaking. My music dream came true in 2019 at Exit festival and listening "A Letter to Elise" and "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea" (my favorite Cure song) from band live is ecstasy I will never feel again. And I have to thank Robert for making my life a little bit nicer listening his songs. I really envy guys and girl from Chvrches for a chance to know him.

What I really like about collaborations like this is how they bring generations together. I'm a child of the 80's and early 90's, musically. The Cure, Bauhaus, Love And Rockets (Bauhaus 2.0, to some extent, really), along with many others, and then fast forward a couple decades and my oldest child being a fan of bands like Chvrches. And now, here we are, together, two different eras, yet, maybe not so different after all. It's just wonderful, really.

Time is weird... I'm 50, and The Cure are still "older" than I am....so, to consider "generations" and how we relate to eachother through pop culture is trippy. Meeting our "idols"...or even working with them...must be a surreal experience. There is a big reason why "dont meet your idols" is an idiom...along with "death of the author". This collaboration gives me joy, and I am very grateful that it happened. Some times... 'What If' work out really well. Ty✌🏽
