That's right. What I like so much about her singing is that she never feels the need to "phrase herself to death." Her intonation is straightforward, without any unnecessary bending. Many of the celebrated "great" singers simply yodel all the time. They wiggle aroun the right notes and think that's what makes great singing. No, it doesn't!

its kind of amazing how her voice has improved over the years. she had some rough performances pre-love is dead. you can tell she really worked on it and has gradually gotten to this point. love to see a performer you believe in continuing to work at their craft. this plus her games award performance are fantastic. keep it up Lauren/Chvrches.

I first heard her song Clearest Blue (Gryffin remix) in the end credits for the Formula 1 2018 video game, and from that I checked out the album Every Open Eye and immediately loved what I heard. Her voice really is amazing and this song with a good pair of headphones (KRK KNS 8400 for me) really makes her voice stand out.
