Chitra mam ur paal payasam in cooker is nice. I tried yesterday for varalakshmi viradham. It came out very well.everybody appreciated. The measurements are apt. But I did with jaggery .it tasted very nice. Thank u so much

I made paal payasam using this method. It came out well. But a considerable amount of the payasam actually split over the vessel into the cooker. I made with half litre milk only. The vessel was big enough to hold 1.25 litres of milk. Yet it split over. What should I do to avoid it Ma'am? I also kept it at a low flame but there were like 5-6 whistles within 30 minutes.

Madam, indirect-a cooker la veccha payasam varuma? Yen-na naan paartha ellam videos-la, pressure cooker-la paal-a direct-a vecchu pannirukkaanga. Aana direct-a vecchu pannina oru problem irukku Madam. Cooker romba clean-a irukkanum (nalla soap-la alambi, venneer-la wash pannanum) illai naa paal thirinju pogidum-nu sollaraanga. Engitta outer lid cooker thaan irukku. Atha nalla clean panrathu difficult-a and time consuming-a irukkum. Neraiya idukku-la scrub pad pogarathilla. But direct-a veccha nalla pink colour-la, thick-a payasam varum. Indirect-a veccha athe maathiri varuma Madam?

HI Chithra! Since you have an electric pressure cooker now , try making the payasam in it using the slow cooker mode. You can mix milk, sugar and rice and let it cook for 8 hours. The end result is a beautiful pink toned flavourful payasam. The amount of rice should be reduced to a handful . Try it! Good luck Dear!

It is better to boil the milk separately and then add it to the rice.Sometimes the milk in the packet can get spoiled
