Love this video! Thanks for highlighting an often overlooked part of Kyushu! I myself love Saga more than anywhere else in Japan. P.S. I think your Arita-yaki turned out adorable!

What's something you'd recommend from Saga prefecture? :)
@ceruleanroses6 жыл бұрын
Micaela ミカエラ I would recommend biking to the Ariake Sea from downtown Saga. At low tide you can see Saga's famous ムツゴロウ (mudskippers) which are very キモ可愛い!I would also recommend the 清水滝(Kiyomizu Waterfall) in Ogi at any time of year and the firefly festival in Ogi during June is spectacular!

Oh, and the koinobori they have at Yamato-cho (just north of Saga City) for Children's Day is amazing! They string hundreds over the Kase River. That is one of my favorite memories from Saga. 🎏
@Ciaela6 жыл бұрын
Have you ever ordered Mutsugoro at the local izakaya? It's the WEIRDEST THING but it always makes everyone excited.
@ceruleanroses6 жыл бұрын
Micaela ミカエラ No, I haven't! Maybe that's my next venture when I go back to visit! Have you ever seen an eel goby (わらすぼ)? They're served dried and go great with beer but they're actually terrifying looking! Check out the spoof "W.R.S.B-Alien of the Ariake." (≧∀≦)
Thank you so much to come to Saga! マイナーな県に来てくれたことが嬉しすぎて全力でGood押しました😃😃

Saga looks like such a beautiful and peaceful place. The caves and water looked breathtaking, I’ve only ever seen water that clear when I was really little, it was nice to see it again.
I'm going to Karatsu tomorrow for a day trip from Fukuoka. Thank you for showing off the prefecture a little! Certainly one of the most (if not THE most) unloved prefecture in Japan. I'm looking forward to the trip though!

Thank you so much for the video !! I am travelling kyushu next month and i really couldnt get anything much about saga except pottery and beef. Thanks for sharing the app and it was really nice seeing the both of you collaborating and working together. HAHA bet micaela must have been damn happy about it. Since it's win-win for tatsu (working and spending time together).

did a partial Zombieland Saga tour this past mid april. saga city, kashima mud flats, Yotoku Inari shrine, Ogi park, sights around saga city and nearby areas seen in anime. public transport too... a car would be great to use while there. got plans for Arita and Karatsu next trip among other areas.

@Ciaela6 жыл бұрын
Yes! Haha, and I mean, the balloon festival is great and all (we included clips in the final cut for Tatsu's video), but I mean, if theres even a slight breeze those things don't even fly. I invited my friends out one year and we all went to see the balloons, only to learn the show was cancelled because of wind. Trying to get on a train back to Fukuoka was a nightmare XD

Hi Micaela! Love your videos and how intelligent you come across. Your friends Rachel/Jun and Kim are good examples of how foreigners or non Japanese should behave in a wonderful culture like Japan. Having spent 19 years in amazing Japan I am grateful when I see foreigners who respect and cherish Japan's beauty and natural treasures. I'm here to expose a vlogger who represent the worst in behavior to those things that Japanese treasure. There's a vlogger that goes by " LINZOR " who in a vlog titled " Scary Bamboo Forrest of Kyoto," she is seen in that video carving her and her boyfriends names in a bamboo tree that is 100's of years old. These dispicable human beings have no regard for the natural or historic treasures of another country. As you know Japanese go through a lot of trouble trying to maintain the beauty of Japan's city , historic sites, nature, and peaceful environment. Scum like this LINZOR trash has no regards for these things. They bring their obnoxious, disrespectful, and vile behavior to vandalize and upset the harmony of beautiful Japan. This garbage of a human being is considering moving from South Korea to Japan. OMG! Please somebody stop this trash from polluting and vandalizing Japan. I don't know if vlogers have some kind of secret brotherhood that stops them from reporting such behavior, I hope not! That would really leave me with no respect for all vloggers. Please inform the proper authorites of them. I've been on several vloggers site already. No one will no who informed on them. Please!

First of all, I don’t watch other bloggers in Japan (why would I? I live here. I don’t need to know what every exchange student or jet or whatever is doing on their little adventure year abroad) so I don’t know who this person is, frankly I don’t care. There’s nothing I can do to stop idiots from being idiots. The power is in the viewers. Don’t watch the content of you hate it, flag it if it’s inappropriate. Every interaction with a video-positive or negative, is going to benefit the creator. See something you don’t like? The best thing you can do is not watch it at all.
