I may do that eventually. There's already quite a few good vids out there about those introductory matters. If you read the description of this video, you'll realize that this is called "Intro to Philosophy" because it is a video from and for my Intro class

we start a new text this week in Introduction to Philosophy, one I'm very excited to teach again

tell me again why I should pay thousands of dollars for college when the book costs 5$ on ebay? Thanks for the enlightenment though I do really appreciate it .

So. . . you're asking the guy who uploaded videos that you're watching for free -- and who is an adjunct at Marist -- why you should pay for college. Seems to me you're barking up the wrong tree here

If it pleases you, can you inform me as to Why you feel that you are an adjunct to Carl Marks? It appears to me that it was misused and enslaved Russia and China. Not much different from Fascist or any totalitarian domination with one person at the Top and the rest Slaves ruled by Fear, I'm my humble opinion. Would like to know if their is more to it, as it may have not worked as it was intended, after getting into the hands of tyrants.

As a teenager I thought Cicero was boring. Now, years later, I realize how foolish I was.

No, I've never heard of him -- but that's no sign of his philosophical merit, since there are thousands of contemporary philosophers doing interesting work out there at present. It looks like he and I are interested in some of the same people

Okay, so, this has nothing to do with Cicero. I'm curious if you know of a contemporary French philosopher (and writer and musician and publisher) named Maxence Caron. While my French isn't fluent, I have been able to read along in some of his work and I quite enjoy it. If you do know of him, could you give me an idea of his scholarly reputation? And if you don't, check him out! I bet you'll like his work too.

Stoic view aligns with the Force.

The force is just some silly incoherent stuff. Let's not reduce a real philosophy to that

@@GregoryBSadler Your lectures are so good. I’m considering taking a one on one course(s) from you. Would probably be in a couple of months after squaring up some finances. I would be most interested in the Stoics. Thanks
