Well, it depends on what you mean by "use". If you mean to convince everyone of the existence of God or gods by it, not likely, since many people aren't going to accept the very idea of degrees of being. If you mean, once that general idea has been accepted, to prove God exists, is personal, etc. perhaps yes, perhaps no. Plotinus was a neo-Platonist who has something non-personal at the apex -- but perhaps he just wasn't as good of a Platonist as he ought to have been!
