Discus are my dream. I am currently saving to special order 6 of my favorite discus variants. I knew I had to have them the first time I ever saw a photo of one. I don’t know what it is about them, but they’re glorious and unmatched. Everything about them I adore. I cannot WAIT to get my hands on a big, beautiful shoal of them. My life will then be complete 🥰❤️

Discus is very labour oriented hard back breaking maintenance fish to keep. A very high sensitive fish to keep. A slight variation in temperature, PH level and water TDS will bring disaster in your tank. Also the tank size has to be large to accommodate. Four times with fifty percent gravel vacuum water change is the must routine for this type. Grooming is very essential for this type, so lazy goers beware.

I totally agree with the Green Terror being #1 . I have a pair that's spawned for me four time and they are amazing. Also have EBA and Silvani that I got from watching your videos. Had them for about two years now and truly enjoy them. Only cichlid I will never own again are convicts.

Great video, love your channel. I bought a 125 gallon specifically to have a JD. I also got a few severums and I have to admit they really grew on me. So much so I bought a few more to make it 4 total. Great personalities, and I literally have to push them out of my way when I clean their tank. Big Red is my favorite fish of yours, he's a good looking fish!

I kept lake Malawai cichlids as a kid. Flowerhorns (or “Luo Han”, in Mandarin) were all the rage as a fish that symbolises luck, and I had NO IDEA until now that they were cichlids. In Asia, Flowerhorns are advertised and discussed quite differently and separately from the other cichlids.

I currently have German Blue and Bolivian Rams. There's so much personality in a small package. I've had Frontosa, Jack Dempsey and yellow labs in the past and I absolutely loved them all!

i 100% agree with Andinoacara rivulatus as your #1! ive had many of them over the years and they rarely disappoint, although a few of them were psychotic killing machines with almost snakehead attitudes. my second is the Faciatus 5 spot banded jewel!

The electric blue acara is very pretty also. And flowerhorns are awesome & I do have them. Their biggest downfall is their a one fish tank. Which makes for Alota wasted space. I love my 2 Jacks. Ones super dark the others almost see thru. So wow no discus or angels made your list.

Great video, even better teamwork!! I'm trying to decide on doing a cichlid tank again or semi-aggresive freshwater with Arrowana, Arnate bichir, green terror, 2 iridescent sharks, red terror maybe a cichlid or 2. Always loved the look and personality of firemouth cichlid. Mbuna cichlids or gorgeous but are aggressive. Peacock cichlids are always very gorgeous, but less aggressive. Fyi. Thanks guy's.

Favourite Cichlid I own is my Cuban- Cichlid I would like to try keep is the Vieja Argentea. Your Green Terror is amazing. Can’t believe the Salvini didn’t make too 10!

What size do the Frye's have to be to go in the 60 gallon with the adults I do have some juveniles in the 60 but I don't know how big the fry should be to go in the main tank

Yeah I haven't gone in a 10 gallon tank they are like 3 inches I do have a couple that's like 2 inches majority of the fish Rangers from 4 to 6 inch it's a mix tank

I’m looking to add something other than gold rams. In one tank I have electric blue Jack Dempsey and Acaras. I’m the other one I’ll have Oscar’s and was gonna do gold rams. But I want to to do something different. I want something with a lot of color. I was thinking the red head but unsure. Can you recommend a few others that would be within the 6” mark that are colorful to go with the Oscar’s. Probably want 3

Great presentation however you just added to my frustration . I am a novice fish keeper with a 150 gallon tank . But do to lack of experience to don't how to utilize it . I have holey honeycomb rock and sand .I would like to use different levels of tank bottom middle and top . Maybe you can give me some suggestions to put in tank and how many . Gotta go w the Discus. Their extremely challenging I currently don’t live in an area where I can offer them the correct ph levels in the water I have. But they are such a rewarding go big or go home fish. They thrived where I was w em originally however soon as I moved water conditions changed & I literally watched em all wither away d die on me. Brother Alec, consider a Red Fin Borelyi!!! When they “transform” they’re amazing. I got mine a year ago at 2” and he’s a good 5 1/2” now and he just recently evolved into a beautiful specimen! Couldn’t imagine my 125g without it now!

FIRST OFF, LOOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! I have TWO ?’s for my 2 60 gallon tanks... So my 60 gallon community tank has 2 leopard Ctnenomas and Rainbows, Dwarfs, Mollies, X-ray Tetras etc I just added 2 German blue rams that are females my Appisto died that was a male.... Sooo 2 things please ANYONE ?? In the 60 gallon community tank what are good options for adding one more ( due to 2 females ) Theen I have nothingin my new 60 gallon tank that’ll be ONLY Cichlids...... If I could get away with making it a community cichlid tank or ones that get along not getting bigger than around 5-7”s max? What would be some suggestions? On your cichlid tanks are most your plants fake ? I know cichlids like sand , rock , and wood . There re a few plants for cichlid tanks but not many . Where do you buy the tank decor for your tanks ? You and your brothers make me envious . I'm having a hard time finding companies that sell wood , rocks , right sand for cichlids etc. I live 50 miles south of Houston . Know any places there ?
