I think Ciel's actually really fragile inside but with Sebastian he feels safe and he's able to maintain his image, as well as have confidence and be strong. He managed to make it back to London on his own but he couldn't manage without Sebastian long term and not just because he is used to having things done for him but because I do think that he finds comfort in having Sebastian there.

Ciel is fragile, that's the reason Sebastian left him on his own. The whole purpose of that was to boost him up a little and help him gain his passion for revenge again. He also almost gave into Angela in the cinematic record scene with his parents. Granted, he didn't give into her but he was close. He is a strong kid but he could easily snap or break down at any minute. The Green Witch arc in the manga showed us what he would be like with a weakened spirit. He was a nervous wreck and was terrified of Sebastian, he didn't even want revenge and he cried all the time. The fact that we saw that shows that that is a part of him deep down inside. He is in a lot of pain but puts up a very strong front. I believe it would just take one thing to go wrong for him to break.

Also, in season 2, when Claude made Ciel confused and replaced his memories with Alois', he was terrified. He got really upset and panicky.

Well, I didn't really mean to call him fragile, actually. He's a strong kid. I just means that, like you said, there's more to him than his strong front. He's a very complex character and we don't always know what goes through his mind :). I love manga Ciel. Have you read chapter 100? It gave me shivers because it was so good!

Ciel smiles a whole lot more in the manga than the anime, also btw they ruined him because he's like a demon in the second season- never happened (yet) and it's frustrating because there's the Book Of Atlantic movie-that came from the manga, and just Ciel never died and became a demon in the manga yet....so just lotta fandomhives gonna be screaming: bUT CIEL WAS A DEMOOONNNN WHAT THE HAY?! And it's gonna trigger me..... but yea differences ( a whole lot) between the manga and anime

Dude, this is the VERY FIRST AMV I've ever seen about Ciel...............and it KICKS ASS! It's soooooo awesome! Way to go! Yeah the bastard not only killed his own contract, he also teamed up with Grell. I suspect Grell fed false information to William Spears and Ronald Knox in order to have thm go after Sebastian, so that he would bo too preoccupied to save Ciel. However, although it was Ciel's fault for not listening to Sebastian's order not to get out of that box, Sebastian still should never left Ciel alone. CLAUDE MUST DIE!!
