I remember this race oh so well they clipped my friend from Berkeley High School on that last leg. We should have won this race.

How fast did the third leg from Duarte run (the green and yellow jersey)? It looked like he took his team from 7th to 1st during his leg.
@ConcernedCitizen55144 жыл бұрын
It looked like he may have run 45 seconds.

I was at this state meet! I remember this relay well. That's Martin Cannady on the anchor for Duarte and Travis Hannah on the anchor for Hawthorne. I think Duarte would've won this had the baton not been knocked out of Cannady's hand.

iguillo Why does that stuff happen? I've seen it several time on the anchor of the 4x4, not during a handoff, the baton goes flying. Most of the time its by the steeplechase pit. We even call that area the Bermuda Triangle. Its inexplicable.

In this particular case, Travis Hannah unintentionally knocked the baton out of Cannady's hand.

gotta grip that baton tight. so many guys are so smooth, but a slight elbow or bump and that thing is gone!

Actually Berkeley High would have won had our 3rd leg not been spiked. But, a great race nonetheless. Miss those days.
