Love the design of this watch. Will have to pass on this one because I’m just used to watches working along with my cellphone now. Before smart watches, I did love my analog watches and had many unique ones. Always have to have a timepiece on my wrist. It truly is a beautiful watch. 👍’s up on your review!

Yea, I understand. I appreciate strapping on a legacy watch with no battery from time to time as a new 'old' experience.

What watch would be best for Google Podcasts trapped in an airline seat? Please demo.

Something Android with a big battery like the MAX or MAX S. Being rectangular rather than round would help, too.

How can play 4k KZbin video in kospet optimus 2 smart watch

Can you do a top 10 type video please ? Best battery, performance, etc
@SWT2 жыл бұрын
That's a bit hard to do since there are so many different styles of watches these days. It would be like the top ten pair of shoes. Probably best to look at the Playlists I have set up and choose a category of smartwatch you are interested in, then skimming through those reviews to hone in on the "best" for you.

Ha ha ha! That really extends the term "Smart" watch. 🤣🤪😜 I seems from now on anything Mr Ticks get from China for free is "SMART". 🤑😆

No! Just No! This is just a regular watch in a big, ugly frame and vulgar rubber straps added to mimic the "aesthetics" of a smartwatch. As for the argument that the technology involved is "smart". While I will concede that the precision involved in watchmaking requires considerable intelligence, the term "Smart" has largely been co-opted by modern technology that specifically adds integrated technology - smart phones, smart TVs, even smart refrigerators - none of that is involved here, none of the technology this device holds could be considered "smart", or "modern", or in keeping with the description or the usual content depicted on this channel at all; the first skeleton watch was invented by André-Charles Caron in 1760, the first patent for a self-winding watch was filed in London in 1780, the first self winding wristwatch came about in 1924. This really doesn't belong on this channel. Are you honestly reviewing technology anymore or are companies just cutting you in to advertise their wares for them?
@SWT2 жыл бұрын
Haha, yea, 2nd time in my 7 year history with this channel that I decided to review a traditional wristwatch, and I always have a few folks wanting to hold me tightly to a definition of 'smartwatch'. Well, Vihaan, in all honesty, I've been a bit bored lately with the lack of new Android smartwatches and finding myself reviewing the same old 'smart' stuff crammed in the same basic watch cases with small screens that actually do the same things with only slight changes in the UI. So consider today's review as artistic wandering outside the 'smart' box. BTW, if you're offended by this one, you're really gonna be mad about the next video where I compare, in deep detail, two 'smart' rings together! Heck, they don't even tell time! And definitely not watches. Wow, I'm totally drifting into uncharted waters now. I'll watch the number of views and likes though to see if, overall, folks like this stuff or not. Don't worry though, I've got a few new watches that just came in to unbox soon, and possibly even a new Android smartwatch on the horizon, so all will be well and back on track.

@@SWT Thanks for your reply. A little while after I commented I thought I'd have a look at watches vs smartwatches in terms of products, sales, demography etc. I drew roughly the same conclusion that you just affirmed in your reply; the timepiece market is hot and will likely continue to be and the smartwatch market is slowing. I'm also seeing much less technological investment in smartwatches, the specs appear to even be shrinking! Also, people who enjoy collecting timepieces are less likely to collect smartwatches, instead opting to sell their current designated smartwatch in preparation, or after obtaining the next. Whilst the same individuals are likely to have retain a growing collection timepieces, much in the same way that someone might collect art. To that effect, you might want to consider starting another channel dedicated to timepieces. Maybe "Timepiece Ticks"? Reviewing timepieces is different in nature as there's less functionality (and no IT at all) to showcase and more aesthetics, but it would probably be a more popular channel and the kind of companies that might take an interest are huge. If Omega start sending you Seamasters to review you'd know you've made it!

I think any watch with added functions other than telling time is a smart watch. How do you define "smart"?
@vihaanreyansh62442 жыл бұрын
@@DrgnTmrSirGawain You can think whatever you want but just you, thinking away, by yourself, is not going to make any difference to the technology market. How would I define smart? The same way that industry does - having the ability to browse the Internet and run software programs like a computer as well as being able to integrate with other technologies ie bluetooth. I'm pretty sure I covered this in my original comment. Not a big reader are you?!
@DrgnTmrSirGawain2 жыл бұрын
@@vihaanreyansh6244 I did read your comment. Why are you so angry and mad? chill out. You say " the term "Smart" has largely been co-opted by modern technology that specifically adds integrated technology". So the way I understand how you include "integrated technology" in your definition of (a) "smart" (product) is basically: A product that serves one or more functions expected for/from the original conceptualization of that product and it also includes one or more functions produced by one or more systems (technology) or the interaction between the product and the additional systems. So if you had been less angry and a better reader you would have noticed that you are basically saying the same thing I said and also that this particular watch would technically fit into that definition as well. Now I do agree that a g shock is considerably smarter" than a automatic watch with shock absorbers (not the same as a conventional suspension) I guess more important questions are what is a smart suspension, and would a watch with a smart suspension (with the function of protecting another system or component) make the watch a "smart watch"? how would that be different from all the previously designed "integrated technologies" integrated in watches?
