This was a rush build as i decided last minute that i wanted to take one with me on vacation to play in the condo as I'm still trying to learn how to play. I did not spend much time sanding, and all the wood is raw, no finish at all. The technical critique is more important to me so i know I'm building playable guitars, i can improve the aesthetics. The reason i sent the rush build is if this one stacks up then i know the ones that i put time in on will be good. Thanks again to Del for doing this, when you posted you were doing this i jumped at the opportunity!!! It's not often that you get to send the teacher a product of their teaching to be looked at live and for the world to see!! This was important to me and was very informative!!! Have at it Del, if you want to dive in and work on it, i think it would be awesome. Basically a "collaboration" build...i would love to see it happen if you want

A Gypsy Follow-up video is just the perfect idea. I wanna see your personal touches, put onto this one that take it from a 9 to a 12!

Nice build Daniel 👍🏼 I actually like the rawness of the headstock with the clean box, pretty cool man. Thanks Del and man these guys ain't playin 😂 I like the comment in the letter saying he watched for 3 months before building. Only 12th build too hey Del your getting through to us buddy. Awesome guitar congratulations

Nice job Daniel. The fact that you are making your own fretboards and not buying premade ones is a plus. I’ve seen people that have made a couple hundred guitars and they’re still buying premade fretboards. A little bit of roughness is ok on CBG’s since their history isn’t about building a perfect instrument but a working instrument. Keep on building!

yup !! that’s why i’m not a perfectionist!! i’m actually an imperfectionist if that’s even a thing 😜

Craftsmanship... one of the hardest points of making to acquire. It takes lots of repetition and the time to get past the other points of construction details. So many things to think about!! Solid #12.

I'm impressed with the overall look and appeal of Daniel's CBG, and I believe your critique was spot on. Well done to both you and Daniel.

Nice build. I like the sound you get from the piezo. I've tried using them but seem to get way to much ambient noise from them. Probably posiitioning it badly or maybe my style of playing....novise.

Nice over view but one thing id like to here is man you've built 12 and only frett buzz in two spots and the neck is a little thick.but for this being your 12 one your on the right track.tgat said after my hundreds of builds I find that this helps..I didn't even start fretting till like 30 off on builds and out of that maybe 3 were playing right with intonation.now that I'm fretting I'm learning so much as for high fret or rough edges inlays exact anyway nice job Daniel and good vid again dale.

i think i can tap down those high fret and get them to sit flat … shouldn’t be a problem

Very cool box! Stain or not stain the wood? Personally I like the natural color of the wood and the contraste with other woods. I only apply lindseed oil or water based varnish. Maybe one day I'll change my mind....
