Good morning and greetings from Wisconsin! I'm one of the old dudes subcribed to your channel. This may have been your best video yet! I especially like how you covered the vi chords, and your progression at the end. Very well done! I also enjoy your EBe tuning more than GDg, but I have to pick up the chords from you since I cannot find a EBE chord chart and am not a music theory expert (but getting better with your help). Have you seen a published EBE chord chart for sale?
@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar2 жыл бұрын
I should publish one... :-) Thanks for the comment

@@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar I think I and others would purchase if you did publish an EBE chart for the wall!

Great lesson Del. I was shocked at the end with the stats. I had to laugh, I am in the 65+ category. BTW, your videos have helped me build three CBGs over the last two years; I am just having fun with it. Thanks!

Hi and thanks for another video. I have learned so much from your videos. I have heard so much about the 1 5 1 tuning and the 1 cord but can you explain to me exactly what is the one cord? Is it in the key of the song? Is it where the song starts out at or what is it? Thanks again for your videos. Keep up the great work. :)

The one is also called the root. The root is the key that song is in. If tuned EBe (1 5 1)the strings played open makes an E chord. Just remember that for starters. Dell will surely enlighten us more in his next video.

Hi del, no, nobody calls the 4 chord the dominant 7th chord. The 4 chord is the subdomonant and its the 5th chord that is the dominant.. Only the 5 chord is the dominant.. Thank you..
@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar2 жыл бұрын
yeah - I get it. My problem is I hardly use the correct names of chords except when I'm trying to explain to others ... and I especially get mixed up when I'm substituting chords into places where they don't belong "technically".... like 2 major, 3 7th, 4 minor, 5 minor, 6 major...etc...
@turkeytrac12 жыл бұрын
If you could, can you enlighten people to what you mean when you use the terms "the one chord, the four chords, etc..." TIA. Great vid btw!
@Grumpy_CBG2 жыл бұрын
One chord, in this case, is E because guitar is tuned to open E (Ebe) Therefore E=1 chord F=2 chord G=3 chord A=4 chord B=5 chord C=6 chord and D=7 chord If you we're tuned to open G (Gdg) G would be 1 A =2 And so on.

The one, five, six, four chord progression reminds me of a song but l can't for the life of me think what it is. How annoying! Anyway, another great vid. I always pick up something useful. I liked the two finger pull off thing on one of the chords. Maybe you could do a video incorporating a few examples? Thanks again. 👏
