Thank you!! Great lesson and really appreciate it. It's been interesting learning as a lefty.

Love your videos! Got a CBG for Xmas. I’m a mediocre guitar player after 20+ yrs but made a 2023 resolution to learn CBG the right way. Thank you “Mr. Miyagi (sp?)

Viola! Talk about motivation. FINALLY someone has recognized and explained the void of just what the right hand needs to be doing when it comes to picking.

I am a converted drummer, now lead singer & CBG in my own acoustic group. Shane's lessons are perfect for me because I didn't start as a guitar player. I could only play drop D 1 finger chords 😂

Excellent video !!! I'm a beginner most learning videos concentrate on the note not the rhythm hand which leaves some of us scratching our heads. One of those learn in time kinda things I guess. Appreciate more like this when ever you get the time if possible. Thank you.

Thanks Shane, great lesson! I don’t know if you have done it before, but it would be great if you could give a lesson about techniques to do hand picking, I know that it’s more generic, but it would be really helpful for the ones who CBGs are their first guitars :)

Shane, what’s the best way to figure out what size slide you need? I’m 100% a beginner. Thank you in advance.

Whatever feels comfy to ya. I have many sizes and my slide collection is very big... Many of them are found objects, such as spark plug sockets, pipes and bottles.

I use to be a pretty good guitar player at a time. Parkinson's disease took away my moterskills in my left hand. Im and left handed. On my left hand I can only use my two middle fingers and a little bit of my index. My my baby finger is close up. The biggest problem is my trimmers on my left. Playing the guitar is my life. Parkinson's took away and made me disable. My right hand im have a hard time as well. But I do have more control of the right. I have parkinson's for 9 years now. Im trying hard to get back ware I was at. I love the cigar box guitar alot. When my left hand trimmers you can hear my hand bouncing off the neck. Is it possible you can help me. The blues is ware my soul is at. I need your advice please. Will I ever to play again. I just can't control my trimmers. I have my goog days and bad days. But even on a good day my left hand is not like hand I use to have. My downstairs neighbour is a professional guitar player hes been helping me My downstairs neighbour is a professional guitar player hes been helping me to play again. Im starting to get better playing. I use to play in blues bars at biker clubs. Im totally lost. I want to overcome my disability. I been in the entertainment business since I was 8 years old. I just made a fretless slider for a friend. Dude owns custome made guitars. I told him this is a percussion instrument.. get your rhythm on and dont over think it.
