I wish that I had a way to share a few photos with you, showing you a method of shaping the guitar necks. I built a portable router table with a sliding fence and then purchased a 3/4 inch trimming bit. I just set the height for the amount of material that I want to remove, and it will cut 3/4 " grooves at each pass. Works amazing

Would I need wider piece of wood for the neck of a 4 string or can I use the same size neck for a four string

both are valid options… depends on what you like as far as string spacing
