While “Oppenheimer” star Cillian Murphy admires Christopher Nolan’s work as a director, he does not know if he could see the same future for himself. #cillianmurphy #oppenheimer #shorts

Well, it isn't about honesty, that is just his opinion or idea of what he can or cannot do, if I am not mistaken. It seems it is not about honesty

This is why he is great. He understands and respects the difficulty involved in creating something great. Only great filmmakers and performers know that every role requires a lifetime of craft to even do moderately well.

He is always so honest and says what he thinks and is who he is. Very rare not only in industry but generally nowadays with people. Everyone is playing something to seem in a certain way, pretending, faking, etc… Cillian has my respect, we need more Cillians in the world.
@johnpauldagondong27204 ай бұрын
Yes. It is really not for the faint-hearted. I was once a director of a high school school play. It was just a play, but imagine the stress I had to face: working with your classmates, guiding them with their lines, dealing with primadonnas because they think they have more acting experience than u do, checking up on props, costume, making sure the budget is aligned with the vision, taking care of the musical scoring, the dance number, etc etc. Imagine doing that in films, especially a technical one like nolan does.

Yes I’m sure your school play was quite similar to a movie set 😂

@@ToxicTurtleIsMad no no i see what u mean. I might've used the word 'close' loosely but if u would take it on a bigger scale, a director's job-whether on tv, films, or plays-ain't for the faint-hearted. It's a very ardous job.

As a fellow introvert who has directed a number of short films but subsequently ‘retired’: it takes an enormous degree of sustained outward energy to oversee the amount of people and other moving parts of a film which introverts for the most part (always exceptions) simply lack.

Sir, I am interested in directing but neither do I have camera nor I know anything about cinematography. I have only my mobile(Redmi note 8) that is also not a flagship one. Please give suggestions regarding how to start film making by mobile . Thankyou!

Christopher Nolan comes across as an introvert to me.
@hoover7283 ай бұрын
@@nate9198 I haven't seen enough interviews to know that for sure. Like I said, there are always exceptions (maybe Spielberg and Coppola too?) and at any rate he's very driven to make films of a huge scale that challenge cast and crew.
@h.d.51943 ай бұрын
Same he's definitely reserved to say the least. But I think when you are that talented and passionate about something then that shyness is overridden by your determination to succeed and be as best as you possibly can. I think you just go I don't have time for these obstacles and do what needs to be done. @@nate9198

I don’t blame him, he is an amazing actor and he is a real perfectionist I feel like. Sometimes if u feel u can’t do it up to the level that would meet your standards it’s ok to stick with what’s best they have so many other ppl who cannot act but can direct. I can’t draw to save my life but I often can spot great pieces of art that may have been overlooked and put it in a place that will give it brilliance
