One thing the show has nailed is showing the different dynamics of each romantic relationship. The cute, comedic playfulness between Wylan and Jesper, the strained longing between Matthias and Nina, and the friendship love that Alina and Mal have but might not quite be romantic. But Kaz and Inej have that burning intensity that is soooo palpable in Freddy and Anita's performance. They absolutely killed it and I feel like they just absolutely stole the show!

kaz's shaky breaths as inej holds his hand and the glossy sheen in his eyes when she walks away is 😭💖😩 Freddy nailed it 💯 and Amita too! best actors. I love how she firmly delivers that last line, but there is so much softness in her eyes 🥺

YOU ARE INSANE FOR THIS OH MY GOOOOD!! Starting this with Kaz' trauma, which is the main thing holding them back on the show, only to slowly have him open up to her piece by piece was BRILLIANT! Especially with that part at 1:37 where you show them both fighting for their freedom, if that's the right word to sum it up. And the parallel at 2:24, with her giving him her knives/the piece of cloth?? GENIUS! The silence as we lingered on Kaz at 3:01 until we finally hear Nina gave me chills!! That worked so well!!! And the way it then goes into Kaz admitting tiny bits of the truth of his feelings for her... MINDBLOWING!!! LEGENDARY!!!! You contrasted their "And how will you have me?" scene with the dream vision so well! It really highlights what Inej wants and why she couldn't stay with Kaz in that scene. This truly is a masterpiece!

Wow! You have a real gift for setting an emotional trajectory. You set up each of them as individuals and create momentum in their separate conflicts with their fighting scenes, and then it turns quiet, contemplative, suggesting their emotional reprieve is through each other and ends on an accurately somber note. This is so reflective of acts in symphonies where they set the tone and conflict and then come to an emotional center before ending on an epic note. My hope is that their glorious end can be be realized with a SOC spinoff!

I never REALLY understood why Kaz had SUCH a big aversion to touching people skin to skin, considering who he is and I guess I just could not imagine it. But actually watching it and hearing those gross ass sound effects they had on it. I know understand 100% because my god that was so gross. 🤢🤢

Same here. A hundred percent. They are both amazing characters on their own. To top it off their palpable fondness and support for each other, growing over two seasons. Omg with every passing scene I just waited more and more for only these two. In comparison (probably very unpopular opinion) Alina, the 'main' character of the show felt dull, one dimensional , undeserving of all that Sainthood and honestly her scenes were getting annoying for me. These two are the most human, fleshed out characters I've seen in fantasy TV in a VERY long time.
