Have been doing some research into the Bad Boy and am wanting to get one of those 44 mags. I also own a 10mm Glock 20 and am a real big fan of the caliber, wasn't aware of the fact that Cimmaron made a 10mm Bad Boy until today, but now I am definitely wanting a Bad Boy chambered in both calibers.

Loved the video. Great job muchacho. Try out s Taylor's & Company Cattleman in .44 mag. Made at the same factory as the Bad Boys but with a 6" royal blue finish and A grade Italian walnut stocks. Not an adjustable sight model like the Bad Boys but with fixed sights I was able to hit soda cans at 100 feet with full power .44 Mag Geco 240 Gr JSP factory ammo all day long. This should make a great trail gun in bear country. Loved the Bad Boys. God bless

I like that the cylinder on the .44 is countersunk I also really like that the topstrap is sculpted a bit unlike the rectangular cross section of the Ruger Blackhawks - Very pretty ! I have a 5-1/2" Ruger Super Blackhawk in .41 mag, and I wish it looked as pretty as the Bad Boy But my cylinder is about 1/10" longer than SAAMI spec length for the .41 and it's possible to make warm handloads that push a 210 gr jacketed bullet at 1500 fps So I'm only *kind of* envious.
@Dayattherange2 жыл бұрын
You will be glad to know the cylinders here are a bit longer for larger freedom pills :) I have only tried 265gr in them thus far.

I do have a Uberti SA revolver chambered in .357, which I recently purchased. I started getting a lot of 1873 reproduction guns showing up on my YT feed following the Alec Baldwin incident, and your channel was one. The Bad Boy is a *very attractive gun* - I wqas seeing that Ted Nugent was on the design team for it, which might explain a few things, and how it outdoes the Ruger SA revolvers, in fit finish categories. You could do an entire video on the differences between the popular Ruger Super Blackhawk revolvers and the Bad Boy.

That was great! I sure would like to see them go up against the Ruger single actions of the same caliber (hint - hint) Thanks Revolver Guy!

I own several Uberti firearms. I love them all. But the quality of the pistols compared to my Ruger Super blackhawk is significant. Hold both in your hands for just a couple seconds and you feel the difference. The weight, the play in the cylinder, the feel of the hammer, the finish, the trigger, everything. Ruger doesn't always get respect for silly reasons but the quality of their revolvers is outstanding

I think a hunting video with the 44 mag would be awesome. I feel a scope may ruin the guns good looks and appeal of that gun but ultimately it's up to you. For hunting that Sig Sauer v-crown load may do well but I prefer the classic 240 grain semi jacketed hollow point loads from Remington's HTP line in the green and yellow box. I've heard good things about federals furnishment of these old school loads under there American eagle line as-well.

I am a baby when it comes to my revolvers. I try to stick to Flake and stick powders for my revolvers to try and avoid top strap cutting. I have seen 2K rounds of Longshot in a revolver and S&W had to replace the frame due to top strap cutting in high pressure cartridges same as Lilgun. I do use Ball for low pressure loads and no issues.

@@thinktwice8860 Buy the kit and keep your factory brass and start there. If you find it enjoyable, relaxing and Safe like myself then you can start with components. Find your reloading community locally and you will be surprised how much they will help you and give you some components to assist. What is going on with the 725 ES on the SIG .44 mag velocities? Is that chrono error or real?
@Dayattherange4 жыл бұрын
Wasn't that big of ES but look at the end of the video you will see stick powder on the gel block. That tells me that this powder was not being burned all the way, so the powder would have caused false readings. Someone gave me some A5744 and when I found out it could be used for 44Mag I decided to try it.
@billybobsnorton91964 жыл бұрын
These pistols have to be stronger than the old Colt to handle the loads that you are playing with. These seem to be Super Blackhawk equivalent. I reload and shoot a Super Blackhawk. I live in Yellowstone county MT. I carry the Ruger while out hiking in the Beartooth mountains. My heavy load is a 300gr Sierra fpsp at about 1300fps. I was impressed with the 10mm out of this pistol. I think I would prefer the 10mm in simi though. I believe you could get better performance w/o the barrel cylinder gap. I don't know if the difference would even be noticeable. These look like well made pistols but I'm not sure you can call them replicas if they are this much stronger than the Colt Old Army, which I believe may still be in production, not sure about that though.
