I have a Taurus model 44 four inch. I’ve had to send my Ruger super Blackhawk 44 back to Ruger for repairs two times. So far so good with the Taurus. The Taurus is my carry big bore revolver when I’m in the woods.

I like my new Taurus revolvers. I especially love my Executive Grade. That thing is smooth as butter. I just wish the Executive grade 605 and Judge were also legal in California. But this year i purchased a Taurus 856 Executive and a Model 65. Last year i got a 2" 856. These new Taurus are WAY better built now.

I just purchased a Taurus 605, 5 shot 357. I was really surprised at just how smooth the double and how crisp the single action was. I've heard all the stories about how bad they were. Anyone who turns a nose at Taurus guns needs to take another look. They have stepped up their game.

I owned an M44 with the 4-inch barrel back in '06 or '07. And I had the same issue. The hand/pawl and springs on most large-framed Taurus revolvers have this issue consistently. It's a manufacturing flaw that's never been resolved.

Looking fine! My Taurus M66 lost a forcing cone at 3550 rounds… in a year and 1/8 the replaced it with another gun the M627 Tracker with the 70s BMX grip I did not like after over 8 months… the service has been their Achilles heal

Awesome video Marine! I just bought a Taurus 44 just like yours and put a Wolf Spring set in it from Midway. I am betting that is who makes them for Galloway Precision. I have yet to take it to the range to test. We shall see. 😀 Nice 30 Cal M1 carbine!

Just picked up a 460 S&W with the 8.3/8" barrel. Not only shoots the .460, but .454, and .45 Colt as well. Seems to like the 335 grain CPWNFPGC bullets and AA1680 powder. Worked up a load for the deer hunting opener next week. Gonna christen it big time.

I don't mind the springs being heavy, but the action needs to be smooth. When I get a new revolver, I will open it up and polish up the internals with an Arkansas oil stone. As long as you stay off the seer surfaces, it works out very nicely and I haven't had reliability issues. Makes it so much better afterwards

I sold my 2021 colt anaconda because of a 9 pound single action and bought a taurus raging hunter and a Galloway spring kit. Taurus is easier to shoot accurate at distance

Gun Sam had the same problem with a Taurus revolver not rotating. I seem to recall that it would happen when the weight was unbalanced in the cylinder and the hand was not raising it enough before the cylinder stop engaged. I believe he had to send it back to Taurus to fix
@Dayattherange2 жыл бұрын
Ugh please do not say that, but thank you. I am going to put a few more rounds through it to see if it continues to happen.

@@Dayattherange This is the latest video of his from 3 months ago talking about the problem. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6DZm5SXnKqSZqM I guess this is why I'm a Ruger guy

@@grahamohea2424 No surely is not his problem I can just about hold the cylinder with two fingers on either side and have it rotate. I think this was a ME problem. I will get it back out soon and give you a quick update.

@@Dayattherange Fingers crossed. I want Taurus to succeed as a company and I feel like they have gone great lengths to improve their quality control since I was issued my first Taurus revolver working security twenty years ago

How many rounds does the magazine hold? Still not as good as N Frame S&Ws.
@southernslice99412 жыл бұрын
Mine does that some times and it doesn’t have 150 rounds through it. It’s kinda like short shucking a shot gun
@6.5grendel112 жыл бұрын
My thoughts are you were feeling for the cylinder take up so it would be more like single action when it went off. And I could be in left field on this Ha. Thanks for the video!!

I think you are in the ball park even if in left field lol. Thanks 6.5G

How has the Cimarron bad boy been treating you? I’m guessing I got a lemon from the factory, I’ve replaced the bolt and have to replace the bolt spring now. Cant decide if I should keep it or sell it before something else breaks. Cimarron has been pretty good to me in regards of customer service. I initially bought mine to hunt with it, but it failed just before deer season started. Let me know what you think about your Cimarron and let me know what you think I should do with mine

Bolt and bolt spring do you mean hammer and hammer spring? The Badboy has been nice and reliable for me.

If you double stroke it let off a little my m66 would do the same thing
