Just a quick note: Crush Card was released in 2007, therefore I was not playing any copies :) Blue-Eyes Ultimate was also not released at this time, and I needed the Gatling to put a monster in grave to summon Chaos Sorcerer Hopefully nobody is too mad that I didn't play Goat. We were pretty sure I'd lose 100% of the time if I did, so I tried building a deck that could maybe win some of the time off a silly combo. It's worth mentioning that this deck was built to beat Pepe, where Last Warrior is a lot better. I also had a cool conversation Side Deck for going second that might've actually had a better matchup against Monarchs, so it's a shame I didn't try it out as the Main Deck. GGs Joseph!

I'm fairly certain that stormforth could not be used to out Last Warrior because it specifies "Tribute Summon" in its text and doesn't mention that you can tribute set over a monster with it. Other cards such as Scapegoat, Slifer/Ra/Obelisk, Sphere Mode etc say that they are tribute summoned through their own summoning conditions and are unable to be tribute set.

MBT "cheated" by using the effects of "Return of the Monarchs" and "Kuraz, the Light Monarch". Both effects are optional "When" effects, so one of them would miss timing in that interaction. EDIT: It was a legit action, I just mistook if for the tribute summon of Kuraz and didn't catch that it was Ehther's effect that brought out the Kuraz!

I thought it was because Return checks for a Tribute Summon and Kuraz was Special Summoned by Ehther's effect which sends Monarch S/T's SIMULTANEOUSLY with the monster it Special Summons. It didn't miss timing because it could not meet the condition in the first place. A Special Summon is not a Tribute Summon.
