Heraldic is one of those decks that just got absolutely fucked by the OCG holding back insane support for no reason. Patriarch fixes so many of the deck's problems because it sets up all the ridiculous graveyard effects and provides a payoff for Unicorn, which, by doing so, also provides a payoff for running Twin-Headed Eagle.

Yeah I played heraldic when patriarch came out heavily and it was legitimately decent post djinn ban (but even under djinn there were outs you could main). Rank up magic limited barians force, amphisbaena, any heraldic name, and advanced heraldry art were basically otk. Heraldry patriarch is one of those cards I feel like could make heraldic beasts splashable someday once there's a viable way to get it in the grave consistently. Maybe dogmatika could do something weird.

Ah, so Patriarch was from a later wave of support? I remember that, when I first got back into yugioh back in 2016, I would often practice against the AI opponents in YGOPRO Percy. One of my favourites was the Heraldic beast one, with Patriarch, and the one that special summoned itself from the hand by discarding another heraldic. At that time, I didn't know anything about what the meta was like and I thought that this deck was amazing lol

I know they're doing fringe decks, but the boys should do a series where they go through the archetypes that failed for one reason or another (i.e. Ally of Justice, Mist Valley, Reptillianne, B.E.S.) I do believe we all enjoy watching Cimo suffer when it comes to piloting F-tier decks, we should prolong this suffering as much as possible. Maybe add The Wheel(TM) for added amusement.

Heraldic beast is fun nowadays the deck has synergy with time thief cause their xyz are rank 4 psychics. Also heraldic is the only deck that can pull off Dark rebellions anime effect which I love.

Heraldic was one of my favorite decks back in the day. I used to play a Rescue Rabbit engine in mine, and would sometimes run random tuners like rose warrior of revenge to make level 8 synchros like stardust and scrap dragon. The deck was pretty fun to play and did pretty good at my locals since most people there were also playing Jank.

Heraldic beasts get playable when ampisbaena and number 18 get released. It makes it so you can go with 2 winds into chidori which was a powerful card even by todays standards.

I hope you guys try to explore Hearldry again later in Limited Dragon Ruler format. With Redox and Tempest, it was a fantastic support, and also better xyz suite of Rank 4s you can make. Stuff like 101, Lightning Chidori, and Exciton Knight really enhances the flavor of Advanced Hearldry Art. Using Twin-Head Eagle to refuel a 101's effect, which is something exclusive to Heardrys. It is a common play I made back then, and it is very spicy to re-use leo that way.

I did some shenanigans with Twin headed eagle and Number 41 Bagooska. Would make the game a crawl until I drew Number Wall. Amass cards, then push lethal. Fun deck.

I read C69’s effect and thought it was the coolest thing ever and that I needed the entire deck. Was good for school yard Yugioh too. A big old 4K beast stick that I can summon with Quick Chaos for huge damage pushes. Better days.

My favorite way to play Heraldic Beasts was to (and bear with me here) rank-up into C69. Now, I know that sounds extremely underwhelming, but combined with Unicorn's ability to reborn a Psychic XYZ monster from grave by banishing from grave and the archetype having built in methods of pitching multiple Heraldics to the grave at a time it actually did quite well. Turns out that back then reborning a 4000 beatstick every single turn was actually pretty decent.

YES!!!! HERALDIC BEASTS!!! My favourite OG Deck that I started with. Also Tip: Run Barrian's Force with Number C69: Heraldry Crest of Horror. It's a 4k Asshole, who can be resummoned so easy in the deck and made even easier with just two cards at least on other turns. Other than that I was super fucking pumped to see them alive again.

So fun fact about Heraldic beast is the support they got in the World Super Star pack was OCG exclusives and out during D-ruler format and by proxy fire water. I think if the TCG were to have gotten the Heraldic support the OCG got during that time they would have been a decent rogue deck over here during this format. Sadly the TCG got the cards that make the deck somewhat function like a 2 years later than the OCG.

Heraldic beasts on duel links is actually pretty fun. Not sure how good it is objectively but in terms of f2p rank 4 turbo decks, you could do a lot worse. Notably the dragon that can special summon itself is actually very nice and is another way to trigger leo but I'm not sure when that got released in regular ygo. Same thing with the deer goat thing that can special summon itself. It's not in this video but it's a nice little consistency boost. Other than that, yeah the decks pretty janky and even in duel links, set 1 pass isn't incredibly uncommon from my experience. Though setting a basilisk isn't the worst play ever in that game admittedly and you usually just need one guy in grave to really go off I find Anyway, that's all from me today. Basically, if you play duel links give heraldic beasts a try I suppose because it's genuinely fun and interesting and there really isn't a better time to bring this up as far as I know because literally nobody ever talks about this deck ever
