FYI the better move for turn 1 game 2 was to use Blazeman's second effect to send Shadow Mist to the GY, which changes Blazeman's attribute to Dark so you can make Dark Law with the Mask Change, and then use Shadow Mist to search Neos (or Prisma). If you don't draw into Polymerization, you can still use King of the Swamp's discard effect to search polymerization. Passing on Dark Law would have shut off MBT's Frog line.

Cimmo, third game, you had game on board instantly, your hand consisted of: E call rainbow dragon hero lives shadow mist melody mask change Hero lives for blazeman search poly E call for neos summon rainbow neos normal shadow mist set melody, activate neos to shuffle backrow attack with shadow mist for 700 into aquactress, i believe her stats are 300ATK/300DEF attack with blazeman for 1200 directly attack with neos for 4500 directly mask change shadow mist into dark law for 2400 dmg Total of 8800

Timeline wise, for this episode, King of the Swamps can be substituted for the Rainbow Dragons as the errata for it was not out yet and did not come out until the Ultimate Crystal Beast fusion

I'm gonna be that guy, Cimo wouldn't have lost game 2 as easily if he'd activated Blazeman's second effect sending Shadow Mist to become Dark, could have made Dark Law turn one and searched another Blazeman with Shadow Mist. Edit, actually he probably would have one if dark law sniped the right card, I mean, he had the follow up in hand already lol. Great Episode

In late Zoo format, I played Aquaactress Frog True Draco on YGOPro. The idea was the Dracos could tribute over the aquarium spells to extend. Since neither the actresses nor the spells are OPT, you trigger Tetra like two or three times in one turn. The best end board was like Master Peace + double Toad + some aquariums, which was pretty hard to break back then. Was it carried by Draco? Absolutely. Was it good? Absolutely not. But it could get more wins online then you might expect.

Hell yes Aquaactress! I have played this deck since 2014. During where they are I mostly played True Draco Aqua Actress as getting to tribute for master peace with tetra and an aquarium was just free value. As soon as you use them as materials the aquarium would revive Tetra to use its effect once more.

This version of the deck was still playable after MP was banned as getting every ounce of value out of your other true dracos just kept the dream alive during pre 2020. Its peak was definitely 2019 when coral anemone came out to let tetra activate 3 times a turn. All in all aquaactress is very fun.

The Aquaactress deck would've actually been good with Toadally Awesome. A bunch of protected beatsticks and a negate to the thing that outs them (in this case, any piece of the Rainbow Neos combo).

It's funny, the Aquaactress cards don't read that bad on a first read. The problem is that there's only 7 cards in the archetype, and not even all 7 of them are playable. Also there's no way to recur your backrow. When they get inevitably popped once, they're gone for good

Love this episode! Aqua Actress is one of my favorite decks of all time and I've been playing it ever since it came out. One of my fondest memories of Yugioh is taking it to my locals the first week it was out and winning the whole thing. The real aqua actress play is always swap frog, send testudo erat numen and then reborn it with surface and stun them out of the game. Very sad that swap frog limit in master duel has made it unplayable in there as it definitely a deck I like to play for dailies when I want to play a combo of monsters spells and traps to get those dailies complete.

Rainbow Neos specifically states that it must be "fusion summoned with the above Fusion materials," so you shouldn't be able to use King of the Swamp as a substitute. If he instead used Prisma, which changes the card name to match, then it would've been fine.

I think the first duel, Cimo made an illegal play of Summoning the 2nd Rainbow Neos using King of the Swamp. Otherwise, I would've been able to Summon certain Fusions in Duel Links with Fusion Substitute Material cards that had the restriction text, "Must (first, [if included]) be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Materials." Meaning that a Fusion Summon of that particular Fusion Monster must be Summoned with the specific cards listed in the name (or treated as such). Substitution material cards would therefore be powercrept for cards that can treat and/or adjust a monster's or monsters' identification (change in Type, Level, Rank, Link, Attribute, ATK and/or DEF, name, Subtype, etc)

You never could, in the OCG it was always listed that way, it was a Translation error that resulted in the 'Or' material.

As someone whose favorite deck is Weather Painters, I've always really liked these super defensive decks that attempt to protect a bunch of tiny monsters with a bunch of backrow. Just in general, I like decks whose majority gameplan is making themselves hard to remove rather than stopping your opponent from doing stuff. Would be really cool if Abyss Actresses got a Dark Magician the Dragon Knight like boss monster that just makes its entire backrow indestructible and untargetable

OK, I can say that all 3 of us were wrong. Me and Cimo guessed Soul Fusion, Joseph guessed Dark Neostorm. Neos Fusion was released in Savage Strike. Either way, our incorrect guesses are understandable, Soul fusion, the reason is in the name, and as for dark neostorm, it also released a fusion spell for a GX archetype. That of course being Fusion Destiny.

Game 3 you probably could have won if you had searched neos from emergency call, and used mask change on mist to summon Anki, then use anki to beat over the tetra, then search another mask change and summon dark law to then attack with everything. Which would’ve made 8800 damage.

Kinda funny story. My middle school Yu-Gi-Oh group had a collective pool of bulk and there was a whole aquaactress deck in there, one day someone played them. Triple lighting is kinda silly when you are up against the garbage middle schoolers make. (I don't know if lighting actually stacks, but we were dumb kids and rulings didn't exist to us)
