We take a look at some staples in the series, from the protags such as Yugi, Joey, and Tea, to villains like Bakura, Marik, and Maximillian Pegasus. Will the anime hair king show off that he also has drip, or will he drown like a lot of the anime we rate here?

Just wanted to point out how Kaiba is more obsessed than he is given credit for. He DIDN'T make a time machine to duel the Pharaoh in the past. He built a machine to enter the Egyptian afterlife to fight the pharaoh he knew AND CAME BACK AFTERWARDS.

@@samojede6776 Fortunately, it is very much confirmed. Prepare for long text. The machine that he used to travel there is called the "Duel Dimension System." Kaiba said its name in plain English in the original japanese dub. Atem recognized him, which a past pharaoh would be confused by. The surrounding architecture of the palace is completely different from what we saw of the palace in the past. The Quantum Cube was used while he used the machine, and the power of the cube is to transport others to a dimension where they slowly cease to be. As for coming back afterwards, Kaiba and Yugi created a game called Spherium together, and clearly that was not created before the events of the movie.

They should have also ranked Bakura's dark jacket look 😭 because I feel like normal good boi Bakura suits the striped shirt look because its all light and nice. And when he's normal, his hair isnt that crazy and spikey, it just looks more fluffy so it makes that overall fit work. Meanwhile Yami Bakura rocks that dark look he has in the later seasons and it suits that evil version of his hair and expression more

btw, Yami Yugi doesn't have a darker skin tone when he occupies Yugi Motto's body because that is still technically the latter's body... but in the past (flashbacks) Yami Yugi (the pharaoh Atem) has indeed a darker skin tone.

It’s funny cause it’s implied that no one knows what Atem actually looks like since the characters see him as just Yugi’s body being possessed. I’m not sure if he actually has that sharper appearance when separate from Yugi, but people in the anime/manga have mistaken him for Atem I think? Maybe Yugi looks like a younger Atem and actually only really looks like him during GT.
