I was there! My uncle Ickey Woods got tickets for my late father and I. We stayed in the same hotel as the Bengals team (much lower in the hotel lmao). Were watching Houston smoke Kansas City (the Warren Moon 527 yard game) before we checked out of the hotel to head to the Coliseum. Still can't believe Hot Rod Jones caught Bo from behind because my dad saw it all the way.

Raiders Had all the talent in the world except quarterback. Schroeder was average at best and was woefully inconsistent
@manuginobilisbaldspot4243 жыл бұрын
@@jasperdriver8546 Yup. Schroeder's one DECENT year with us and we go 12-4 and make the AFC title game. He didn't even have to be great...just don't complete like 46% of your passes and throw 15 INTs.

Was there too. was 14 at the time. Bo's 88 yard run is one of the best memories. I sat somewhat in the endzone behind that play. was doing the ickey shuffle all day, that Raiders defense was really good.

I was one of the few who really liked listening to Todd Christensen on commentary. Yes he was too wordy with his vocabulary and a bit pretentious at times but he knew the game of football and also had great enthusiasm breaking down the plays & paired with the great Charlie Jones they were a great play by play team in the 90s.

I didn't exactly plan it that way in reference to how the games got posted, but I'll accept the credit for it anyway. LOL I'm sure these selection of games will boost your dads moral. I'm just glad the NFL didn't block the game because of the Bo Jackson run. Damn he was awesome!!

@@survivor5044 You’re like a stealth bomber with the amount of precision that goes into those selections 😂 Yeah Richard still to this day man I HATE that he tackled him at the end! And I’m not usually like that with anything that cheapens the competition on the field like for instance I hated when Favre just fell on the ground that day and let Strahan sack him to break Gastineau’s record..but for him to tackle Bo inside the 1 after THAT effort was terrible..I always get excited with I first see a replay of it but then that’s all I think about immediately after is that he gets tackled by his cleats at the end🤦🏻♂️😂

@@scottbuono2507 I got so excited watching the play as it unfolded. To see a running back of Bo Jackson's size, go left and then come back around the far side of the field was amazing to start with. He probably ran about 40 yards just going east and west. For Bo to put his speed into overdrive going vertical was fantastic. That's why I was so disappointed he got caught from behind by Rod Jones. I do give him credit for hustling the way he did. #BoKnowsLongRuns

Sir, just awesome, as always! Do you happen to have the Week 9 (11/5/89) game from 1989 vs. the Bengals where Bo ran 92 yards down the sidelines for a TD (after scoring earlier from 7 yards out)? Or happen to know anyone/any place who does? Been looking for these two games for YEARS. After this, that is the only other game glaringly missing from my collection of Bo Jackson games. I was a little kid then, and he is STILL my favorite athlete of all time, hands down. Don't mean to in any way sound unappreciative - this is GREAT, as is all your content always. Some of us really appreciate all you do! Thanks so much!

The 1990 Los Angeles Raiders were as talented as the 1985 Chicago Bears. Unfortunately, 2 big things thwarted them: 1) Lack of a quality QB and 2) The Bo Jackson injury. If Bo stayed healthy and their QB was say, John Elway (or even Boomer Esiason), who knows what would have happened in the AFC Championship game at Buffalo?
