Cincinnati is actually not hideous. The place has good bones. It's actually still possible to imagine the vision of some dude from Germany in the second half of the 19th century who may very well have said something like "hey guys, let's take this cheap-ass wood and bricks and at least *try* to make this place look a little like the old country." Can't say that about too many places in the old Rust Belt.

I agree for the most part. Our homicides are up a lot this year. I think that's a consequence of more dealers getting into the game because of the pandemic and decreased police response. More dealers = more competition = more homicides. I still don't think Cincinnati is dangerous comparatively. I've been scared for my life in New Orleans and Miami Beach. Had a gun pulled on me in Panama City but that guy was a pussy so I don't count that one.

I'm from Cincinnati, born and raised! Tolerant as our city may be, sadly, our city is also quite racially segregated, and there are other problems. Kroger keeps closing their stores in black neighborhoods. Downtown is a now mostly ghost town dotted with restaurants and bars. Gentrification is taking even more power away from powerless people in the hoods. Even through all that is wrong, I love my city so much. 513 for life 🌆⛲🐯⚾

@@Foreign780 just in comparison look at the picture of a destrict in berlin. In front you see middle class houses and behind you see huge apartment blocks where people live that normally have a lower income (under 30 000 € per year). These apartments have normally between 40-70 square meters for 1-4 people. And the criminal stats are still relative low there cause we don't have a destructivd gang culture. @CharlieBo3134 жыл бұрын
The streets are very active and rough looking, good place to film. It does have more of an east coast vibe with all the crowding and congestion Didn't get a chance to hit all the spots although I do have a little more footage I may post. I'll be coming back to film more here.
@pmiahky4 жыл бұрын
CharlieBo313 Agreed. I spend a lot of time in Cincy. Has a bit of that rowhouse vibe in OTR like in Baltimore and Philly. Narrow/tight streets. Lot of that old brick and Victorian. Old city as well. Amazing how far OTR has come though in the area with all the restaurants and business thriving though when 15 years ago it was even worse. All that area was filmed in Traffic with Michael Douglas. The scenes where the daughter was scoring dope down in OTR. Great job as usual man!
