That was awesome, JT. Kids really love to go to the zoo and ride the train. They remember it the rest of their lives too!!

Very cute video my friend, I liked a lot your video. The train is cool and the lions were behind the glass, I could see them from a close. I wish I lived closer to Cincinnati. Big like #41

I remember riding that train when I was a little kid. It's insane how much time flies by. I still can't believe what happened with the boy and the gorilla incident! You should do the Louisville Zoo train. It goes faster and it has 3 tunnels if I can remember. Haven't been in a while. Great video jaw tooth really enjoyed it!

Thank you for your comments and the suggestion for Louisville Zoo. I'm going to check into it. I go to LaGrange a lot and I could hit both places in the same day. Thanks for watching!

The main engine, 240, has got a very high roof that I actually like! It has unfortunately been replaced after engine 401's arrival in 2018. UPDATE: this zoo now has an electric train.

Must've been awesome that train ride & seeing all the beautiful animals + nature. Funny how you were in the same zoo, where the kid fell into the pit. I heard on the news, the gorilla was killed. Never been on those cool train rides. I don't think we have that in my area of NY. Have a nice day my friend ✌
@JawTooth8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm glad it didnt happen when we were there. We had 3 kids with us. It happened the day after we were there. My brother in law took pictures of the gorillas. I remember commenting to my wife how easy it would be for someone to get in one of the animal pens but I didnt think someone would actually do it. There use to be a cool monorail ride at Kings Island that went right thru the animal pen. That was my favorite ride back in the day. The monorail is now at a huge store called Jungle Jims and is used as a display. They were supposed to get it running but never did. They set a loop of track up over the parking lot and have the monorail train on display. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting!

hey Jaw Tooth , they just recently revamped the RR crossing on the main street in Williamsburg. all those nasty potholes are gone. i was through there yesterday at a lunch that Napa auto parts put on.
Thank you! I am an animal lover also. I wanted to take some of the baby goats home. lol

If you ever take a vacation in Virginia, I encourage you to check out Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The train there is standard gauge with very pretty rolling stock and a genuine steam locomotive. It stops at several points in the park which is awesome in and of itself, or you can ride the train as long as you like.
Both Busch parks are three foot narrow gauge. All of the locomotives were built by Crown Metal Products.

@Trains4Fun8 жыл бұрын
We have a very similar train at the Africa Lion Safari in my area. But it does not have the train crossing like at Cincinnati Zoo which seems like a no brainer. Also that incident with Gorilla was very unfortunate for the Gorilla and the boy. The boy was lucky!! I also feel bad for those parents. People with no kids have no idea how easy it is for a 3 year old to just take off on you. It was only less than a year ago in Toronto when a 3 year kid wander outside in it's diaphers and boots and frozen to dead at 4am in the morning on one of the coldest days of the year. www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/02/19/toronto-police-searching-for-missing-3-year-old-boy.html It was a terrible tragedy for all parties involved.
@JawTooth8 жыл бұрын
The little boy sure did get lucky that the gorilla didnt kill him. I'm glad we decided to go on Friday instead of Saturday. Thats awful about the kid in Toronto. I didnt hear about that. I'll read the article. Thanks for the post and thanks for watching and commenting!
