Thank you for posting this! I am a student of our American History and find it fascinating. I am 68 yrs. old and love learning more and more of our history. We cannot let it die as some would love to see. A very informative presentation. Thank you.

This is the best and most in depth version of my South Carolina patriots in the Revolutionary War. This should be taught in our schools. I knew this history as I had studied it but this is complete in an hour!

It wasn't until I discovered my 5th great grandfather, William Martindale, was a Captain in the South Carolina Militia during the Revolutionary War that I found out about the battles in South Carolina. That was 15 years after my sophomore year of high school and US History class. I knew more about my Hessian ancestor, 5th GG Adam Reibsamen, and the Battle of Yorktown than Grandpa Billy.

An excellent presentation. I have always wandered if even without Frances boots on the ground or naval support if we would have won the war because of Nathaniel Greenes promotion and victories in the South. The may have extended a few more years but my feeling is now with Gates out of the way, Greene, the man Washington wanted to begin with, was the other book end to Cornwallis. I think Nathaniel Greene does not get enough praise for his role in the American Revolution. Neither does Morgan, Sumter, etc.

I grew up North. NJ. I just listen. It seems I need to just relearn history. I look at facts not about sides. I stopped doing that.

I also am leaning my paternal side were Jackson Whites. Although, I haven't been able to prove it. They are a fascinating tribe either way. If my ancestors were, that was my ancestors. I look at that way. History. Just History.

God Save the King and bless the oldstock colonials who proved thei genuine 'Patrioism' by remaing loyal to the mother country. My ancestors were among those whose British-American genes ended up in Canada

Southern history has definitely been overshadowed by their behavior over the following 220 years.

You can slight us with the comment but it was southerners who really built this country at the start(look at all the Virginians), and it's been Southern men who most avidly volunteer to join the military and die for their land throughout the entirety of America's existence.
