When you're selling stuff and get anxious sometimes your mind can get a little confused and you end up taking much less than what you should. It's usually best to let the buyer offer first. She was probably kicking herself later. Sad. I think it has something to do with your mind artificially halving numbers when it's not necessary. Like say you have $10 on two figures, and someone asks what you'd take for both of them. Instead of saying $15, your mind thinks of what would be a good deal on just one, so you say $8. Ouch! Yes I've done this! It can also go the other way. Like say you're selling comic books for 25 cents each, and someone offers you $10 for the whole box and you say no. Later, you check and you've only got $6 worth of comics in the whole box xD (this actually happened).

You have gotten a great deal with the Lego. No boxes which isn’t great and no doubt a lot of parts will be missing- but even if you only have a couple of complete sets, like the Sopwith camel or the space shuttle, that’ll more than cover what you paid. And if you can source missing parts from somewhere like bricklink so you end up with more complete sets you’ll get even more back!

sometimes the pre built leggos will have extra things with them as the set, I would look at the manuals an see if they have any extras that you can eyeball quickly and put with the pre-built item (and the mini figure that goes with it) I think I have more fun putting the leggos together than my 6 year old boys lol love it!!!! have fun maybe the kids could help sort them....
@TK-431
@TK-431 5 жыл бұрын
I bought a similar deal of legos some months back. I sold the manuals by themselves (by far the easiest of the entire job), and the mini-figs. I sold the "semi-built" toys as-is with missing pieces, (because I'm a reseller, not a Lego builder). I ran those on auctions. The rest I sorted by pulling "rare" pieces and lotting them together on auctions. There are two schools of thought as to the best way to sell bulk Legos- either by color/ style brick: or by the pound. I am currently selling them by the pound, I've sorted them all I care to, so I had no interest in putting like pieces together.

You are so lucky. I am a lego collector I know a lot about this stuff I would recommend you to use bricklink its a site where you can sell or buy legos and learn about lego sets pieces prices and all those stuff. If you have the time I would recommend you put the sets together 1 by 1 and sell it ass complete or missing pieces. If you don't have the time you can sell it as bulk lego which you can make money off of it but not as much as if sold separately.

Great video and some amazing scores. You go after a lot of different items like myself. The Lego lot you scored for $30 was a hell of a deal. I find lego often but I have noticed people are charging more and more for them each and every time I go out sourcing. I guess people are starting to realize the value of LEGO. I scored a huge lot awhile back and they sold really fast, sorted them and sold them in lots of 5lbs, 10lbs, and then sold all the figs separately. Great stuff, thanks for sharing

The slave is also worth way more then 50. If the instructions are missing they are easy to find through lego their website or through bricklink to find the complete part list. Also make sure to try to find the correct figs with the sets so you won't be stuck with the set ( star wars minifigs will sell fast / good often)

2:06 I got tears in my eyes. I sell lego parts at bricklink. That pile is around 45 kg. My whole lego part store is around 52kg/43 000 parts (or around 5000 USD when every part is priced at average selling price) And here in Latvia, we do not have garage sales and such a stroke of luck as you just got.

I know it's alot more work and probably doesn't makes sense to people but when I buy legos I try to build the sets that are in it and sell them when they're complete. I hold onto any other pieces in the lots and use them to help complete other sets down the road. Alot of work but I love legos and I enjoy piecing them together. Plus complete sets usually give you good money.

Oh my God. Candy cigarettes. My sisters and I used to pretend we smoked them. I'm glad I was able to watch your show today. So many memories. I'm 64 now we enjoyed them when we were in our teens.
