The only thing is the guy could have been a little more polite about it - something like "no, sorry man, i have those things priced fairly" instead of "no... no.... " while walking away

No, my guess is that the first lady you mentioned has a ton of experience in the “selling” game (both via the garage sale & eBay route.) And as a result has had it up to her gd’ eyeballs with potential cheapskates, I mean buyers (CP excluded) unabashedly trying to steamroll over her. And about the ‘son’ being a jerk. Well I haven’t got to that point in the video yet. So no comment. 😋

At least the lady apologized...she didnt need to but at least she recognized that was bad. Hopefully she had a little chat with that boy about how yard sales work AND maybe about how common courtesy works, even if you are not a morning person or a ppl person. I mean, at a minimum, if the guy is nuts about keeping his prices that's when you mark it a little higher so you get the price you need after some negotiations...that's how resale works and why ppl do it...dig for the treasure and work for a fair price is all the fun! Pretty good for his KZbin debut, hope he watches this video.

What gets me is, if it sells for that much on eBay and they are telling you that, then go ahead and sell it on eBay! You knowing the listed prices does not make you knowledgeable about eBay - at least quote the sold listings

I'm loving the yard sale vids coming back! Excited to be heading to an estate auction in the morning here, myself. I have to admit, I would have *considered* walking on the "No" guy. Not that he shouldn't have stuck to his prices, because they really were good. But, just the way he said it and walked away felt... kinda aggressive. But, then again, perhaps he was insulted by the offer of 100. You definitely did the right thing carrying through with it, though. You'll make out well with that stuff!

The point of a yard sale is that you want to get rid of junk that's just taking up space, which is why when someone wants to buy 10 items, you usually give a little wiggle room on price. When he offered 120, if he just left and said no never mind I don't want any of it, I guarantee 90% of that stuff would still be there at the end of the day, and he'd wish he had taken the 120.

You put a lot of work as a picker and seller. What I like about you is that you try to package a deal, if it works fine, if it doesn't ,you make no big fuss about it. I've been selling for over 15 years online, without using ebay, I just love it when you sell an item online, and someone comes to your place to pick it up, and pay's cash for it, easy and simple, nothing to ship at all.

My company used to do some circuit board assembly for the paper folder units that lady showed to you. I think there are only a couple brands that are small like that. They are very mechanical but also SO cool. At first you wonder who needs it but really, Churches love them, schools, anyone who does mailers. You can fold in half (church bulletins), thirds, fourths....whatever. matter of fact if you bought it I would want it...over here in Liberty Twp. But I know how that goes. Dio you remember the price? Glad the lady knew what it was and was doing some sales tactics....a rare machine in the long run and not many would pick up on that at a yard sale. Looks too much like a printer or something to take a second or even a first glance at when really that thing has some value! Next time she needs it plugged in and running. Although they can be a bit noisy they are fun and useful. As always, thanks for the vlog.

I was taught an old trick about negotiating at sales and markets. Get the items together that you want.Ask price,counter offer at a lower price.. If the say no,reach in your pocket,pull out money and flash it so the seller sees it. Make your counter offer 1 more time and if the seller says no..flash the cash again and start to walk away. Most of the time when the seller sees money walking away from him he will sell at your price. Try it....good luck.

That aluminum pot with lid is expensive. We have two and a stew pot that my wife got from her grandma. There's actually a store 30miles from us that has new ones. There up there and will last several lifetimes!

Yes, don't overlook commercial electronics. Phone systems, networking equipment, video monitoring systems, barcode scanners, receipt printers - they're all worth more than mass-market consumer electronics. Then there's electronic medical electronic equipment - there's even bigger money there. Don't worry about the quality or liability - if they're used in the US, they have to be refurbished and re-certified by an authorized dealer. It's well worth if to the buyer if they get a deal.
