The image is extra clean in the 4K image. The color contrast is higher in VHS than dvd and blue ray. For me, the best is 4K.

The 4K should represent how the original film along with the marks nonexistent, original grain structure and colors should look vs what they’re revised as compared to its DVD and Blu-ray counterparts. James Cameron’s 4K of True Lies is a complete joke of this. Teal color grading not present on previous versions on DVD, D-Theater and the unofficial Spanish bootlegged Blu-ray, DNR and very subtle color enhancement. Should be a slap to the face of film restoration. The colors on the VHS version (despite it being the same resolution as DVD) are a little closer to its 4K but not quite there yet due to some VHS-related picture issues such as crushing, ghosting and edge enhancement. Overall, 4K is the way to go.
