yeah. She didn't like him cause she thought he was a soft baby kitty that was worth nothing and should run back to the two legs. When he saved her she realised he was more than a worthless house cat and she began pushing past her hatred to actually get to know him. They have quite a few books of friendship as they get to know each other and then in the last book or so they get romantic. Also in literally every book after that scene they're so developed and good for each other.

Sandstorm didn't steal Firestar from Cinderpelt because _Cinderpelt doesn't own Fireheart_ --and never did. Cinderpelt chose to keep her feelings a secret. She chose to become a medicine cat. Same for Firestar. He's not an object. He can make his own decisions. He was attracted to Sandstorm, not Cinderpelt, and he chose Sandstorm. Sandstorm didn't even know Cinderpelt liked him.

Fireheart was already attracted to Sandstorm, he was just too stupid to realize, and had pretty much convinced himself he only loved Spottedleaf. Yeah, Cinderpelt gave him a extra push, but it was inevitable.
