Nice job Cindy. We make a similar thing using blackberries. My wife does a lot of preserves. Way better than store bought. Not much activity on my little trap line lately. To much rain.

It is! A little too much pectin though. It had a misprint, tablespoons instead of teaspoons. Tastes great, but kind of thick.

Kind of the opposite here. Cindy had neighbors that died from botulism from canned meat, so she is kind of afraid of it, and doesn't can meat.

Good morning! It is getting to be a lost art. This set up really well, but has a strange texture. Tastes great, but something isn't right. Checking other recipes, this one had a misprint. Tablespoons instead of teaspoons so it was about twice the pectin it should have had. Not a big deal, but it doesn't spread on bread as well as it should. A little thick is all. Last day of November.....wolf trapping season opens tomorrow. I hope I can get up the mountain! Have a great day!

@MuskratOutdoors , Just had 2 Wolves come around the cattle. They had come through yesterday morning. By the tracks, it looked like a male and a female , so today, good Lord willing, I'm going to try and get some sets out.

@@MuskratOutdoors True. And some might consider it unhealthy because of the sugar. Science being reported over the past year is more and more disproving much, if not all, of that. I've been eating stuff everyone's now telling me is "dangerous" since before I was big enough to walk. I've made jelly for years some were great and others I rebranded as "syrup" and sometimes gets eaten with ice cream. I'm sure I get at least 10 times stronger than the normal human being before I even push back from the table. LOL

That sure was a lot of pectin. I canned a dozen quarts of applesauce last weekend with the last of my apples. Should have done apple butter but still have plenty from last year. While those jelly jars look nice I can't stand screwing around with those little things and almost alway just use quart jars for 90% of what I can. I'm a cheapskate and don't like wasting lids on 3 bites worth. Darn jars are getting so expensive I'm to the point of asking for a depost to get them back....lol

Mmm grape jelly my favorite flavor😋 Gary thought you should know this being a content creator. Those of us who cannot afford ad free videos. We are getting absolutely BOMBED with ads about every minute & a half of video every other commercial is actually 2 commercials. What I'm saying is l hope they are paying YOU WELL to commerialize your content so MUCH. I would be mad if l found out someone was using my content to get rich & not paying me EXTRA for that. It's not just your videos it's everyone who creates content anymore. & we all know how much some of these companies pay to get advertising for their products. You need to look into getting YOUR FAIR SHARE! Just saying...

Thank you. Yeah, we don't have any say in the ads, what they are or how many. The political ones for Harris kind of got me irritated! Supposedly, we get a 60/40 cut with our share being 60%, but it doesn't add up very fast. Each ad only pays a fraction of a penny, but over time, it does add up. There's no way for us to see what the amounts actually come to as far as what You Tube gets and what we get. This year, because of the one a day videos, it's been pretty good considering what it is.
