Co-founder and co-owner of Silantra Asian Street Kitchen , Cindy brings her passion for food and community together, serving delicious meals while fostering a sense of togetherness for everyone in Lancaster and beyond.
A daughter of a Chinese immigrant, she learned invaluable lessons from her mother about overcoming obstacles and building dreams in a new land.
From her mother, Cindy learned invaluable lessons in business, community engagement, and standing up for what is right. She inherited not only her mother's entrepreneurial spirit but also her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Her mother's legacy of strength and determination continues to inspire Cindy every day, shaping her into the remarkable businesswoman and community leader she is.
As an Asian American woman, she's not only made her mark in the business world but has also become a driving force for positive change in our community. Her dedication to uplifting others and fostering inclusivity is nothing short of remarkable.
Cindy's contributions extend far beyond the walls of her restaurant. As the president of Lancaster Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders - LAAPI, she champions the voices and experiences of Asian American and Pacific Islander individuals in our community. Through her leadership, Cindy has worked to celebrate diversity, advocate for equity, and empower those around her.
Her involvement with YWCA Lancaster further underscores her commitment to combating racism and empowering women, showcasing her unwavering dedication to justice and equality.
