Either you are for him or against him. I think people like the McCain’s kept that at bay, and there are just too few of them around now to combat their opposition (within their own party). I'm a Democrat, and while I didn't agree with Senator John McCain on everything, I highly respected him and knew he was a good and decent man. He was the type of Republican that the party needs to go back to being instead of being a personality cult to Donald Trump. If John McCain saw what happened on January 6th, I'm sure he would've been absolutely appalled to see what happened although he wouldn't have let what happened that day define what America stands for, that's the type of man John McCain was and we need to recognize that humility and decency and apply that to the way we approach politics today instead of being as polarized and divided as we are. In ending, I wish John McCain was still here, he wouldn't have let the Republican party become what it has but now we have to fix it.
