Did your version not have Baxter's subtitles? Those are the best. Baxter: Leave these people alone. They mean you no harm. Bear: We Bears are a proud race. They must pay for their intrusion. Baxter: On my journey I met one of your kind. His name was Katow-jo. We became friends. Bear: Katow-jo is my cousin. Go in peace. Baxter: I will tell tales of your compassion. Bear: Fare thee well, Baxter. You shall always be friend of the bears.

I started running studio camera in a newsroom in the late 70's while I was in college and this movie brings back so many memories. Sometimes it's closer to real life than you might think. We had our male anchor and our sports anchor get in argument one night about something just before the final sign off story, and after they said good night with big smiles, they went to the newsroom and started beating the shit out of each other. Same anchorman got caught in a strip club one night and caused a local scandal, and a different anchor one night didn't say his name in the open because it was blank on the teleprompter. Good times.
