I know I’m a terrible pedant but here is an unrequested, free English lesson… You can’t say “a plethora of”. Plethora is a synonym for countless or numerous - so you can’t use it like “a number of…”. Instead, say: “there are plethora languages to choose from” instead of “a plethora of languages to choose from”.

Ironically, Adam McKay (the director for Anchorman) later cast Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld (one of the top advisors in the Bush administration) in VICE, a biopic of former vice president Dick Cheney. Part of me will always believe that the casting choice was heavily influenced by the joke about Brick working for the Bush administration at the end of this movie.

@Logan_Baron11 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I've seen other reactors react to this version. Apparently you have to have the captions on to see Baxter's lines. I don't understand why they would even make a version that doesn't have them. Though honestly I've seen a few other movies, that don't have the captions that would be in the theatrical release. Like an American movie where they have someone speaking Japanese, they automatically include the captions. But then on video they don't show it unless you turn the captions on. As though just because you don't need the captions to follow along in English would mean that you must know Japanese.

I don’t know much about the larger brown bears that are in this movie, but I live on the top of a mountain in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains and we have tons of black bears. 9 times out of ten they are more afraid of you and not aggressive at all. The only times you have to worry is if it is a mother with cubs or if it has been a really dry year with little vegetation and they are starving. Just last year I had to scare a young one out of our chicken coop. The poor thing didn’t get how the fence worked and kept running into it trying to get out. They can cause property damage and run off with your trash cans but other then that you don’t really have to worry about them.
@stevenfriedman290211 ай бұрын
Black bears are a lot more docile than brown/grizzly bears. Grizzlies are a lot more territorial and if you're ever out in the woods and see the baby first get out of there because momma bears DO NOT take any chances with their babies and will attack anything within eyesight of it even if it that is a potential threat. Black bears it's better to stand your ground and be loud if it seems like it's gonna attack whereas with brown bears you should go fetal on the ground with your hands around the back of your head to protect it and don't move.

In another release, I think maybe director's cut, there are captions for what Baxter told the bear at the zoo. He complimented it on its size and majesty, and then he mentioned having befriended a grizzly bear in the wild and temporarily living with it. He mentions it by name, and the zoo bear says ,"That's my cousin!" Instantly, Baxter earns the respect and friendship of the zoo bears and is allowed to have his friends back uneaten.

How dare you? Christina Applegate is a national treasure! J/k, fake outrage (hiding real pain). But seriously, you clearly need to add some Applegate content to your list. I'd start with Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991) and The Sweetest Thing (2002). Maybe some Married... with Children (1987) episodes or at least some "best ofs." Her show Samantha Who (2007) was criminally underrated, and while her role in the Bad Moms movies (also starring Kathryn Hahn) was small, she was really, really funny. I hear Dead to Me (2019) on Netflix is really good, too.

There's two sequels! Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is the one everyone sees, but there was actually a second movie released concurrently with the original film's DVD release! It's called Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, and it was created using alternate takes of the original film, along with the original news story subplot of a terrorist group robbing banks. This plot was cut out and replaced with Ling Ling the panda. Obviously, since it's made from alternate dialogue takes, the first half of the story if pretty much the same plot, but some new narration has it take place after the first film. Worth a watch, if only because I can't think of another time something like this has been done!
