Cinema 4d 2023: How to create a seamless/infinite background w/ Redshift & After Effects

In this video I go over how to setup a product render to have a seamless background using the Redshift Object Tag and the Matte properties. Compositing is done in After Effects.

Ok everyone .. i figured it out. (this is for beginners like me), don't forget to enable alpha channel + straight alpha. still experimenting with the other settings but this seems to make it work.

don't forget to disable multi-pass image and hair multi-pass!!!!

This is very Helpful, Thanks. However, I've been looking for a way to get this same result for reflections as well, matte reflection so to say but somehow, I can't seem to figure it out.

I am pretty sure there is a shadow AOV you could render.

Hi, what was your export setup? When I export out I'm not getting any alpha channel. Would be good to know whether I need to select a certain file type etc afterwards.

select alpha channel + straight alpha, turn off hair rendering and disable multi-pass image

I am not sure what you mean, but I think some combination of puzzle mattes, cryptomattes, and alpha might be what you are after.

Hello I use a disc as floor and create a new redshift material with a shadow matte catcher. in the previeus version of the redshift renderer, when I used this kind of material I can turn on the "background is environment" and then on the reflection tab, turn on "catch reflections" and it work correctly as I need. But in the latest version, when I use this method, and exactly when turn On the Catch Reflections", the floor object goes to visible edges in the seen!!! I'll be very thankful if you give me a solution to this?

Sounds like you need to make the disc bigger!
