Evryone experiencing problems with Plain effector: at 4:40 choose the cloner and then apply the effector. Worked for me.

For the Effector to work, make sure you clicked the cloner before inserting it, OR, select the "plain" effector in the "cloner" object "effectors" tab. Hope it helps

very nice tutorial, but i wonder if you can show us, what button you push... i mean, i'm a beginner, first time trying Cinema 4D, and don't know anything about how to move the camera, how to edit the graph. but thank you overall this is good

Anyone know why when I turn up the weight of the random effector it doesn't do anything? I clicked the cloner before adding the random effector and the random IS at the top of the effectors list of the cloner. The random effect won't work at all.. would appreciate a tip, thanks! Using R20 which uses Torus Fields instead of Torus Falloffs so I think this is the issue but can't seem to figure it out.. EDIT FIGURED IT OUT: For anyone else in R20, add a random field in your torus field's falloff section with blend mode set to overlay on the random field. Also make sure the random field is above the torus field in the field list. Then to get rid of the weird orange box, go to view settings tab of the random field (far right) and change every value to 0.

I am in AE CC 2015, and I can not get the repeater element at 25:47 to go out in different directions. I just shifts the entire hex in X or Y. What am I missing??

I am totally new to C4D, but eperienced in 3dsmax. I am trying to learn this tutorial, but at 5:28 I am stuck. The Effector Plane , when I change scale, nothing happens. The hexgons are still. Please help.

I'm new to C4D too, but maybe I know. You need to check that the "Plain effector" is affecting the Cloner. Select the Cloner, then click on the "Effector" tab ; if the "Plain" is not listed, drag it in from the object window.
