In this C4D subsurface-scattering quick tip we'll learn how to approach a marble material in Octane, getting that unique marble SSS look and the classic marble-y noise texture. All fully procedural!

My man, thank you! Yes I will definitely make more hair tutorials, I jus took a little break cuz they made my hair melt. Figuring out hair to that level can be a real bitch (totally worth it tho lol) But yeah, I have a bunch of other tutorials before, like dynamic wrinkles and lighting tutorials and procedural gemstones/minerals textures and others before I go back to some more hair tuts.

How would you add a third color? I wanted to add specs of gold in there as well but I cant figure out how to do that. I'm new to Octane.

Just add another noise, mix it with the other noises. Check out my alien rocks tutorial I show similar techniques there

Can i Use Them in Cinema R21? cuz i just downloaded the pack and they doesnt show as the previews :( and when i open the project it says: Several plugins used in this project are missing Saving may cause loss of plugindata! Plugin: Magic Bullet Looks Plugin RandomWalksMedium

Hey! So Magic Bullet plugin isn't necessary so don't worry about not having it. RandomWalk is a medium introduced in Octane 2020, so I think your Octane is not up do date. If you can update your Octane, great! If not, then just change the mediums to Scatter medium. They work about the same, with slightly different results. If you want more information on that, check out my SSS Deep Dive tutorial where I explain how to operate each medium

Offtop question, how to have black background while still haveing hdri?

Hey! You can either create two Sky objects - one with your HDRI set as primary environment, and one with a black color set as Visible environment. Another way is to use HDRI sky, export the image with an alpha, then add the black background in post.

What is wrong with editing this video so that it can be followed in normal speed? People can use faster speeds for anyone that wants roadrunner speed. Slow it down, please.

Hey brother, the reason I do this is because I noticed that thats how I view tutorials. I always want the tutor to go as fast as possible, obviously keeping clarity as much as possible. My tutorials are not really aimed for people who just started C4D, even tho they're welcome to learn from it - so the way I see it the process of watching these tutorials is to, watch large chunks at once, see the technique, then go do it yourself. It's not meant really to be followed step by step.
