It's the same where I come from. The Odeon closed in the 70s and became a carpet warehouse. The Rutland, after two years became a bingo hall and then shut forever three years later. The two cinemas in the next town couldn't sustain themselves and consequently shut. It's a real shame. Our first cinema was based in a wooden hut. Those were the days. I was a member of the Saturday club. Used to cost 3p to get in. A penny for the bus. And 3p for snacks, ice cream etc. I'm giving my age away. Lol. Are you both geared up for Christmas? Sending love to you both.
