The Velaryons in EP 5 can take the throne for themselves if they wanted to in EP 5 they have more dragons than the Targaryens not to mention Vhagar is on their side at this point in time after she bonded with Laena and with Meleys being the fastest dragon she can stand toe to toe with Caraxes. With only the young inexperienced Syrax, and Caraxes as the only dragon that can pose a serious threat the Targaryens are toast if Corlys and Rhaenys suddenly snapped and decided to take the throne for themselves. Vissy T even had to beg from Corlys for Laenor's hand to marry his daughter and not the other way around lol

@@skylargray455 Even if they have less dragons, all the lords of the realm are still sworn to house Targaryen. And in this era of the show there are a bunch of dragon killing weapons about so I don’t think they’d be able to take on the entire realms armies and fleets plus the Targaryen dragons

The velaryons had the best dragons during this time. The Meleys the fastest, seasmoke the stealthiest, and well vhagar, a flying castle. Plus the Velaryon Fleet, they were indeed the strongest house at this point in time

Tbh, they could've single handedly taken out house targaryen main branch of Kings landing. Daemon with caraxes and rhaenyra with syrax couldn't have done a thing to them. If only rhaenys wanted the crown.

Something I noticed is that when Meleys hits just above sea level you can see her hold back, wings spread to slow down. Meanwhile sea smoke doesn’t do that, at least not to the same degree. Meleys was about to take off but had to slow down for Seasmoke.

I think Meleys is a little too fast for Seasmoke. U can tell she kind of holds back at the beginning so he can catch up 😂 she is the fastest dragon in all of Westeros but when the moment arrives she can’t even flex cuz she has to make sure Seasmoke doesn’t get left behind. 🤣

I believe the Valeryon's were the only house outside the Targaryens (thanks to their union to Rhaenys) to own their own Dragons. At this point they had Meleys, Seasmoke and Vhagar, all three were fully grown.

Very true but I do like how Meleys body movement is superior though. When she dive bombs downward to the sea, her wings are on her sides to go quicker as compared to drogon having open arms dive bombing like seasmoke. I do say though that once they get to sea level the wings soar the same to keep the momentum up

The show runners said the dragons have 3 different skull designs, a horse, wolf and dinosaur. Caraxes looks different due to his mutations. But they also experimented with different designs on all the different skulls. A horse skull can still have the same features as a dragon with a dinosaur skull, for example Meleys. Horse- Syrax Meleys Wolf Caraxes Arrax Vermax Dinosaur Balerion Dreamfyre Drogon, Rhaegal, Viserion Seasmoke Not too sure about Vhagar and Vermithor. Either dinosaur or horse.

I think rhaenys death in the series will be like her daughters death. After the fight Aemond/Aegon will try to kill her because she's so injured she can't walk anymore and then she'll yell dracarys to Meleys to finish her off not giving the satisfaction to the enemy.

@@Oakland510 It is special i guess.But putting egg under the cradle of the Targaryen baby is new custom(a couple of some decades) and controlled by the king.The old king did give right to a claim a dragon for the heir and the heir's offspring.If a remember Rhaenys claims Meleys 13 years old while her father Aemond is heir.But Viserys butchered everything giving eggs and dragons to everyone so... Rhaenyra and Leanor are the only ones who have dragons by cradle in season 1.

What happen to Meraxes children Sunburst ( the golden terror ), Sunder ( the red shy queen dragon), Shatterstone ( The curious ). If i am not mistaken they should be older than Dreamfyre and Vermithor why they never got mentioned. And it was never they died and i am hoping they are also residing in Dragonstone if the writter changes the story i would rather love to see Rhaneyra claiming Sunburst and Sunburst facing and killing Sunfyre. The battle of golds.
