7:56 as someone that has worked security, that food delivery would be left at the front desk in the lobby and the customer would need to go there to get their food or go hungry. 16:25 as someone who worked HVAC, vents like that only exist in Die Hard, Half-Life, and other ridiculous movies like this. Not a real thing I ever encountered, it's just to move the plot along without any creativity.
@LucianDevine25 күн бұрын
As far as the food goes, that's assuming they'd even let them in the goddam door, lol. When I worked at a place where we had a keycard to get in the door, we had to meet the delivery person outside where they don't need a keycard to be.
@EpyonRules25 күн бұрын
I'm guessing you worked residential HVAC, then? Because Commercial and Industrial HVAC does indeed have vents and ductwork large enough for you to crawl through. Now, whether or not you actually *can* traverse the ductwork is another question entirely, due to the possible existence of dampers, diverters, and [internally] smooth rises and drops, etc, in said ductwork, not to mention the issue of how you are going to get *out* of said ductwork.

Not instantly. He would get held when he went to his next check-in. Unfortunately it happened to a friend of mine.
I visit a bunch of schools for work every month, and according to this movie there are better security protocols for the ATTENDANCE OFFICES than the Federal Reserve. For instance, a food delivery guy wouldn’t be allowed to just waltz into the cafeteria-they would need to meet the kids at the office or outside the building (and that’s if external food is allowed at all). Also, one time I accidentally walked out with my visitor’s badge, and the secretary literally chased me down for it.

Man, the access thing pissed me off so much, as someone who has handled access control for multiple companies of various security levels. 1. Delivery personnel are never allowed into the back; they drop it off at the front desk, which is typically outside a secured zone, or the recipient has to come get it. The driver never goes back into the space. 2. Visitor badges are issued with names & dates printed on them. There's never a chance of a visitor coming out with a badge that only provided access for the day before without being stopped & verified, while being ready to call security/police. 3. Visitors aren't allowed in the back by themselves. They're escorted back, & then out. No escort? Then you're stopped & verified. 4. Leaving food atop a vent in a restroom? Do you realize how quickly that smell would be called in, not to mention a visible bag atop an illuminated grille? The driver probably wouldn't even make it out of the space before it's reported (& that's in a scenario where they're allowed into a restroom at all, when they'd have an escort). 5. "I signed in with the previous shift." No chance that flies, even if the shift change just happened. Why would he be inside across multiple shifts? Why would the shift change be exactly in the middle of a meal break? Why wouldn't the previous guard comment on a roving visitor? And, again, why would a delivery driver be allowed unfettered & unescorted access to the secured zone, let alone one where you allegedly verify criminal histories before allowing them back? 6. The stolen employee card. Employees regularly report when they lose their access cards at lunch or wherever, & their card is deactivated & replaced within minutes. I can't remember how long it was from the theft of the card to the heist, but there's zero chance of it flying undetected in a regular company, let alone a high security zone. So much BS in so little time.
