I can't claim to have ever liked it, though to my mind I think King's horror stories are all terrible, but I do prefer Tim Curry over the new guy. Regarding the "I was a teenage werewolf" thing: 1. The teenaged werewolf was one of the forms Pennywise assumed to terrify one of the kids because he had been badly scared by the movie so was essential to the story. 2. Yes, the original release was June 1957. In the book the first part of It took place in the summer of 1958 not 1960, so it was very plausible for the film to be back in theaters because... 3. Back then it was common for films to be re-released several times, especially horror and science fiction because they could be packaged into Saturday Matinee double-features

The book was able to bounce between the two ages effectively because the thing was over 1000 pages long. You could literally fit every change of perspective roughly into its own episode in a season-long mini-series.
@WhoCares-i3o Жыл бұрын
A "season-long mini series" Thats both redundant and impossible to say is totally accurate. A mini series only has one season, thus the name "mini-series", and as that particular type of show has no set episode count, it cant be said that the entirety of it's time jumping could fit as well as you say. @@thewraithwriter22 over time whatever you have displayed on your screen will 'burn in' and you'll be able to see it even when it's not on the screen anymore, like the comment section on KZbin if you watch videos vertically all the time. Instead of black boxes which would burn in over time, this type of edging changes all the time so one image doesn't stay long enough to damage your screen.

Damn I still vividly remember the first time I watched It. I was around 6 or 7 at my grandma’s. She told me that I could go in my room (she had rooms for us for when we came over) and watch a movie on my TV while they were making Thanksgiving dinner. Me and my little sis went on the TV and we saw It. Us being idiots were like “it’s a clown this movie will be so much fun!” Ever sense then I’ve had an irrational fear of clowns, talking to strangers, and sleeping anywhere near books

That doesn't mean he can't kill adults, that means he was still injured from their encounter.
@Dargonhuman5 жыл бұрын
@@Argonak1 The novel also explains that kids are easier to lure and scare, which gives Pennywise more energy; he can kill the adults, sure, but to get the most out of the feeding they need to be frightened, and kids have more visceral fears where adults have more abstract fears to exploit.
