I can't believe this is the thing that I have chosen to sin Jeremy for, since this is one of my favourite films, adaptations and soundtracks of all time but the Christian Slater film was 100% Broken Arrow - I saw that 3 times at the cinema with my girlfriends at the time. Also it's inconceivable that Wallace Shawn doesn't get a sin off.

I find it interesting that in BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, which was released three years before this one, Buffy, like Cher, said that she wanted to marry Christian Slater. Talk about a missed crossover opportunity! (Not to mention a really cute catfight.) Why were girls so into Slater back then, anyway? He was never really that good-looking. And wasn't the Jack Nicholson vibe really off-putting? In many ways, I just don't get the '90s - and I was there!

Except Broken Arrow didn't come out until a month after that progress report/report card, while Bed of Roses came out on January 26th. I doubt three valley girls are going to see an action movie about a missing nuclear bomb.

God, I haven't seen this since 1995! Lol, it was really funny because I was 15 and went to an rich area California high-school. (I was the poor kid) and I didn't know anyone who had a cell phone in school. Nobody dressed like that, everyone pretty much looked like Tai at the beginning, before the makeover.

In the mid nineties I was still in primary school and all these movies in which high school is depicted as a wild lawless place really got me worried about it. Turns out, high school is not that eventful and people don't dress that nice (granted I'm not from California...but still)

Oh my God, this movie was the bane of my high school years; my sister and her friends were _obsessed_ with it and would come to our house every day to watch it at least once but usually twice after school, they would pretend to be the characters and emulate their speech patterns and it drove me up the f-ing WALL! I mean, I got my revenge a little while later when Good Burger took off and I discovered that I could do a spot-on Ed impression, so when that movie came to VHS, I would watch it every day after school and emulate Ed's character so it evened out in the end, but it's still cathartic to have the piss taken out of this movie.

Ok as far as using the pay phone without a quarter. We had things called phone cards which meant that you simply dialed a 1-800 number, dialed a code and then a phone number. However, I will say that she was able to dial far too quickly, and even in the 90's no one had more than three phone numbers memorized much less one's "ex" stepbrother at his college dorm, so I say this deserves two more sins.
