Vincent Glory They didn't really. They weren't there when he killed his men. They only saw how they looked afterwards. They didn't see him scan the room like he did, and he didn't even use most of the objects there as weapons. He used one guy's gun against another and another guy's knife against himself, so he really only used one or two objects there, which was the objects he stuck through one of the guy's throats, so the 118 people who liked your comment failed so hard, including you for making it.

People having been doing satirical commentaries of movies for a very long time now. No one actually expects a movie to be flawless; commentaries are something people do to amuse themselves when they watch a film. People often compare going to the movies with me to watching an episode of Mystery Science Theater. Although I though I make numerous observations throughout the film, people tend to laugh their asses off. If you don't find this entertaining at all, then why bother?

*Fanboy Moment* Denzel Washington just makes every film he's in. Nothing was appealingly special about this film, yet I went to watch it because he was in it and I ended up simply enjoying it because he was in it. I mean.. c'mon - the list goes on. Flight, American Gangster, Inside Man, Man on Fire, Training Day - even The Book of Eli and 2 Guns were both good. That John Q one which I don't remember all that well was mediocre at best and yet I still enjoyed it because of Denzel. Legend. I hope he does a Morgan Freeman and just carries on making a shit load of films past his 70's and even through his 80's.

Jimmy De'Souza Ghost army, yeah. We can't see them. We can't show them. But believe us guys - they're there. Can we see at least one proof of "tens of thousands of brave liberators over there"? I can see reports and videos from rebel armies, total majority of which are made of simple men living there. ukrainian media claims they've killed few thousands of russian soldiers and destroyed few hundreds of russian armor (which is hilarious considering somali-like state of ukr army and tech), but still there's literally ZERO EVIDENCE of that but TONS of videos from rebel side without any professional soldiers. Not a picture of single body of a russian soldier, not a single photo from satellite, not a single video or a bit of information from inside "invading army", not a single fucking paper or document. You guys seem to believe that it's possible to invade another country with an army of few thousand men all of which are silent, patriotic, don't have mobile phones, don't have internet in the middle of Europe - so there's no word from inside.
@deudex9 жыл бұрын
Jimmy De'Souza Crimea was obvious russian operation, with few hundres of obsious russian spetznaz units all over the peninsula. Can you see the same in eastern ukraine? All i can see in bunch of oldmen with random gear and soviet era tech. Kekd about ukr weaponry. That's probably why mothers of ukrainian conscripts are trying to collect money for better weapon, ammunition and bullet proof vests. Not really because all the ukr army possess is rusty 20-30 years old soviet time gear. Their state is so poor they bought fucking Saxon armored taxis form UK (which were useless even in 1980s) - and managed to crash them on empty road on their way to Donbass. That's probably why ukrainian conscripts are complaining in their videos that they got nothing but useless soviet all-time random crap and got abandoned by their government. The only well equipped people in that conflict are ukrainian "volunteer battalions" like Azov - which is happened to be openly nazi. So, you don't have any evidence still?

Jimmy De'Souza Beautiful. You have nothing to say - only empty beliefs - and still speak about delusion. What a disgrace.
@deudex9 жыл бұрын
Jimmy De'Souza Oh and btw - i forgot about little fact: *The Chief of Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, General Viktor Muzhenko, is saying, in that news-report, which is dated on Thursday January 29th, that the only Russian citizens who are fighting in the contested region, are residents in that region, or of Ukraine, and also some Russian citizens (and this does not deny that perhaps some of other countries’ citizens are fighting there, inasmuch as American mercenaries have already been noted to have been participating on the Ukrainian Government’s side), who “are members of illegal armed groups,” meaning fighters who are not paid by any government, but instead are just “individual citizens” (as opposed to foreign-government-paid ones). General Muzhenko also says, emphatically, that the “Ukrainian army is not fighting with the regular units of the Russian army.”* So, you know things better then ukrainian general? CNN and FOX didn't tell ya about that, did they?

@brianstraight93089 жыл бұрын
I think the same thing every time I see a movie, or even a show, where a sprinkler system is set-off. That deserves a sin all of its own. You don't start a fire under one sprinkler and then have the whole system go off. There'd not be enough water pressure in the system for that to work first of all. Further it'd cause a lot more damage than it'd be worth. The point of the sprinkler system is to CONTAIN damage. To stop the fire where it's at before it spreads. But if you're going to put out the fire AND flood the building giving everything water damage,what's the point?!
@crunchysuperman9 жыл бұрын

A bunch of guys in disguises drove a big moving truck through the back gate of the garden center, dropped the ramp, used bull-cutters to unhook what they needed, and made off with maybe four or five riding lawnmowers and some grills. They were in and out in seconds -- a class A operation compared to our usual shoplifters -- and was probably one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life. I don't really know what came of it after, unfortunately, or if the law managed to catch up to them, but hey, sometimes crazy happens when working retail, even in the middle of peak hours.

The comparison of Denzel's character in this to him being a horror movie slasher completely changed my perspective on this movie. When I first saw I left the theaters and thought, meh.... it was fine but I rather dislike anything where the protagonist is utterly unstoppable and no one really gives him any struggle, such as the equalizer, I mean it makes for a fun film but it takes away all suspense and I just watch it bored cause I knew every time he was in a scene he will be on top every time . But thinking of him as a slasher, albeit from the moral high ground, makes this a lot better. Thinking of him as more of a Jason Vorhees than the hero makes me enjoy that much more. I really hope that made sense, I'm not exactly sober and worried I just typed a fucking mess everywhere.
@glst19748 жыл бұрын
Andrew Glenn Made sense to me and I do not drink. I get it though. Steven Seagal movies were always like that. I could not stand them mostly. Sequal might give him more a challenge(or we continue to see him as a slasher).
@TheNinjafish228 жыл бұрын
Gary L. Street Good to hear it made sense. I agree on the Steven Seagal movie. I don't know it just super takes me out of the film. On the upside it does help you sympathize with the villain more, as they become the underdog which gives a different experience too.

"confident"* "confidant" is "a close friend or associate to whom secrets are confided or with whom private matters and problems are discussed". One letter, eh? ;) Nah, she was good in Kickass, Carrie was... I don't like the story. I just can't get through it with all the abuse the lead is getting throughout, you know? I know it's supposed to bring those feelings out, but it's just... It pisses me off. :P I too think she's still waiting for the big role that will actually make her an actress worth of the name, and not just "popular young face" actress. Or maybe it'll never come, who knows.

Coffee for $1.50 is not out of place... at all. It's about that much at the Dunkin Doughnuts that's nearby, and I was recently given a gift card for Starbucks and their regular coffee (besides being shitty), is also about that much. At Einstein's it's around $2, which is really odd, since the other two places are right next to them...

Him saying crystal skulls when Denzel moved the skulls shows how ignorant he is. The skulls themselves are memento mori, reminders that we all die, that you can't take wealth with you and him directing it at the men showed how he was marking them for death. So read a book before you sin for the film's symbolism.
@sunnyneonraye14597 жыл бұрын
movieexpert18 do you know what the whole thing was about the tattoos? The movie focuses on them a lot, but I can't figure out why. Felt like either I missed some symbolism, or Robert dislikes tattoos.

He has OCD which allows him to pinpoint potential methods to dealing with opponents and that is clearly shown that he also obsess es over other parts of their body which included tattoos. Most of the mobsters had devil's tattoos which is symbolic of McCall being a sort of avenging angel
@MightySheep6 жыл бұрын
I actually watched this movie recently and right as he walked up to the desk he rearranged it and pulled all the objects near to him, then as he left he put them back. I figured it was some sort of trained assasin thing where he'd run through all the scenarios in his head and had some creative way to use the skull as a blunt object or something.

yeah some of these are just looked at on the surface and move to fast one to the next so people don't get a chance to think and process. example: Quote Somehow,Alina's pimp knew that she'd be out walking to this gas station tonight ? Maybe they were driving around for 3 hours looking for her or the fact they more than likely know she goes to that cafe how does anybody know how far this servo is from that cafe or that it could be the direction of her home ? Quote: And this is definitely not a routine,because we saw her catching a cab from the diner the first time we saw her ? ok firstly how can you assume someone's routine if you only seen them do it once ? plus we see her at cafe several times yet only exit in a cab one of those time another in a limo ect ect also that cab was driving by when she hailed it i doubt that taxi would be going pass at the precise time every night just as she exit's the cafe walking is more than likely her routine form the cafe . Quote: closed? what the loving fuck ? First off,Robert opened the door freely. Second off it's broad daylight outside third,the hours posted clearly state that your closed at 9pm, not when wheel of fortune is on .? they are closed due to a fire would you walk in a order food with bits of the burnt roof falling onto your meal and it is broad daylight nice analyses.

Okay, McCall vision isn't like the Holmes/Premium Rush/Bene Gessurite Gestalt thing, but Triggering. He has to psyche himself up the first couple times, which is why he focussed on the Tattoos, Jewelry (Ill gotten wealth) and skull symbolism. Also, when he opened, and closed the doors (Once, then 3 more times) that was an OCD tell. Him trying to maintain control, and discipline, before going "F*uck it," and turning around... Notice he didn't need to do that any more once he let the dogs out. But that's pretty cerebral for the average moviegoer. They weren't explicit about it, so it read more like Sherlock Holmes.

When Robert leaves the diner and runs from Teddy and the crooked cops, he leaves a smear of blood on the wall (from his fight with the fake lineman). When he gets home, we see him putting warm honey on a wound on his INNER thigh...what the hell was he doing to that wall to leave a smear?!?

Since when are Marvel movies filled with robots? The Iron Man franchise, Avengers, and Age of Ultron are the only two I can think of that features robots in any capacity. So this seems dumb, CinemaSins (ding?)
@Kuypers1259 жыл бұрын
The Iron Man movies had Jarvis, And all the different Iron Man suits Thor1 had The Destroyer Avengers2 had Alton And I haven't seen Guardians yet, but given the setting, I'm guessing there's at least 1. That's most of the Marvel Movies so far, and most of the next wave will likely get added to this list as well
@Demarcoa9 жыл бұрын
Kuypers125 pfft, well okay. I get you are just explaining it (and I thank you for that) but this is a very dodgy definition of robots. The destroyer is like magical armour, so at best like half of their movies have had robots. For those who don't know what robots are relative to machines, AI, and such, it does make some sense but still strikes me as silly. I don't see how that comes even close to Sony's rampant product placement habits either.
@DominikKensylar9 жыл бұрын
Arden DeMarco Jeremy recently tweeted about how every Marvel film features robots, I think. That's why they came up with it. It's also not meant totally serious. If you want to go full circle you can say that the Nazi power armours from Cap and Bucky from Cap 2 count as well, Nebula in GotG. The only film I'd have no argument for is The Incredible Hulk, which just didn't feature any robot-like creatures. But Agents of SHIELD has Deathlok, so there's that. But, yeah, there are not many robots in the MCU after all. Iron Man 2 and Avengers 2 are really the only films to actually feature robots (maybe GotG as well but I'm not really sure about that).
@Demarcoa9 жыл бұрын
Dominik Kensy fair enough. this is all my fault for taking CinemaSins too seriously :P
