And even if hes just an E-2, thats at least more training than zero. And even besides that, hes at least cannonfodder potentially. Unless someone is paralyzed, they could usually be of at least SOME use. So my point still stands that throwing him out was very stupid.

One thing I like is how Stephen King preferred the movie's ending to the ending he wrote in the book they just kind of drive off in the mist until they run out of gas and I agree with him the movie's ending is definitely better becuase as far as we know he never planned to make a sequel.

I liked the book better. Mainly because i feel like the military coming in right at the end to "save the day" felt really stupid to me. Like, in the book its imploed that the world is just the mist now, a true apocalypse. But then the movie is just like "nah, the military that is implied to have caused this problem is here with tanks and flamethrowers to save the day, no apocalypse". Like, kill all the characters or don't, the romeo and juliet tragedy they went for was just stupidly cheesy

I will forever remember this movie solely because of how my dad reacted. He knew what was coming, and he knew i was going to cry, but i was outright sobbing, and he pulled me close and just held me until i was okay. That's one of the only times i can remember him doing anything like that.

I always found the ending to be so absurdly cynical and dark that it swung right back into feeling like a funny parody to me. My brain just automatically adds "wub, wub, wuuuooab" noises and a "to be continued..." stillframe the moment he sees those military trucks. Still one of my favorite movies of all time though. Encapsulates the feeling of forgetting that the steam sale is due and buying a fullprice title a day prior. Also, we need to turn on more floodlights, 10/10.

First thing to do in this kind of situation is remind everyone that there's a logical explanation for everything. You're fighting animals with instincts and the fact that you can kill them proves your point. The animals definitely aren't going to overwhelm the entire United States military so the best option is hunker down and wait, maybe try to send out distress signals via radio.
