33:20 Actually in engineering school I learned about the “right hand rule many times and there a a big flaw if you run into a square shape in the middle of the maze you will be stuck going in a loop. You need to use a value called a heading which basically keeps track of how much you fav turned and if that value which you add or subtract 90 degrees from when turning left or right and if it ever gets to 0 after the initial turn you need to walk straight until you find another wall then continuing the right hand rule

Kenny wasn't there for exploiting the ghosts and spirits in the asylum. He takes care of the property and promptly leaves when it's time to clock out. He goes in, he does a job, and for all we know, he probably doesn't stay for anymore than a few hours. Compare that to Lance's crew where they are actively making jokes, setting up cameras, mics, etc... you know foreign objects, things the spirits aren't familiar with. Given that the work crew that was hired to help renovate the place got attacked, a correlation can be drawn that foreign objects will start to excite the ghosts. Lance's crew is likewise actively provoking the ghosts and trying to incite activity and aggravate them, Kenny is more than likely either being respectful or at the least apathetic towards whatever is inside.

Problem is that the ghosts had control over time and space in that hospital. once they were inside they could never leave. It wasnt simple warping of the mind and misdirection. the second movie made it clear the doctor had harvested so many patients that the evil grew to the point that the spirits can control the space of the hospital

To search for exits, doors or windows seems pointless if the building itself is possessed and changing, thats why studying the map also seems like a waste of time.

This and the second one is easily the best found footage horror I've seen in a long while. Highly recommend! Edit: Unfortunately, for HTB, in both movies this place very quickly becomes a liminal space. Walls moving, windows bricked up, turning around and someone who was right behind you is 2 floors down all of a sudden.
