The reason you might not want the use nodes option is, because you might wanna render out without compositing, but not delete all the nodes. Geo nodes doesn't have that, because the modifier contains this option already.

Wonderful video, thank you. One question - The noise.random(100) driver function isn't animating for me. Any ideas? I've enabled 'auto run python script' in preferences but still no luck.
