Hi Chris! Great video! I just want to know if CSSS suits for jazz strings? Like in jazz symphony or Broadway jazz musical orchestra. Do you have any recommendation for jazz strings? (I think Sample Modeling solo strings is good)

Does the vibrato/expression lesson as you go down in dynamic if it’s baked in?

As for mock-ups it's really nice like the Cremona Quartet but just like in the other library, I can hear it sometimes overlapping with phasing not sure if there's a way to fix it. Great video video

Hi Chris, Thanks for the review. I use CSSS mostly as a first-chair library to add more definition, character to CSS, I do not fancy using them as a solo strings library in an exposed manner, they don't convince my ears, especially their vibrato, doesn't sound realistic when exposed.

It's too bad. you cannot fully dry up the samples, even in close mic it's got tonssss of room verb on them. Can you play these strings without any room or verb and make them very dry? I don't see any options for that.

Hi Chris, this is a great video! I'm not too big of a fan of the Spitfire Symphonic Strings and I was wondering if you would recommend the Cinematic Studio strings or Solo Strings as a good replacement?

I have CSS and I think it sounds better in its own way. Just have to EQ the high end to taste. You do have to spend more time programming but in the end it sounds incredible.

@@justinbeamon6624 Thanks for your help on this. I probably buy that one. There are a lot of glitches with the symphonic strings. Is it possible to switch the legato mode on and off during playback?

There’s an interesting effect with the marcato that makes it sound like there is more than one violin playing

6:00 It would have been nice if you'd demonstrated the senza vibrato setting here, since you talk about it, or at 21:00 when you talk about it again. Thanks for the video.

Definately lacking without the bass, similar to buying a four wheeled drive with only three wheels.

SOLO STRINGS!!!!WHOLE STRING SECTION!!!!! Where did it mention QUARTET ONLY, maybe it should have just mentioned STRING TRIO. IMO it would have it would have been great and useful addition. @@OAmeen

You are missing the point to what I am actually saying. Having the bass included would have been a 'useful and important' addition. I'm stressing the 'Whole Orchestral Strings' of the present day symphonic/classical orchestra.

Definitely great as first chairs, wouldn’t ever use this as solo strings theres too many superior options

@@YannickDP I haven't used any of these myself, but a few popular ones are Joshua Bell Solo Violin, Bohemian Violin, and Iconic Violin (this is a newer one but it sounds very good to me - Christopher Sui has a video review of it and I will probably go for that one personally)

Do a review of a bookstore that came out a long time ago, and that already has half the world, what's the point, friend? you waste your time. I was hoping you would test the new spitfire abbey 1st violins.
