One thing that I've always noticed about STAR WARS is just how much the cinematography captures both the characters and their setting. It isn't isn't just the actors, but the entire scene about them that's telling a story, and the cinematography emphasized a relationship between the characters and their environment.

its because george knows how to tell a story through visuals... eps 1-6 has none of those "trying to be mysterious" shots like jj abrams...every scene is clear on what is happening, there are no sudden plot twists, etc... probably also why george loves to shoot and edit the way he does in digital is because he is trying to tell so much detail in one shot, like where you are, what is happening, what is the mood, the characters and their positions figuratively, etc... also, george is not trying to elevate the excitement of the film by using fancy camera work, but by the music score... you can probably find videos on youtube of dave filoni explaining what george taught him how to do the scenes for clone wars...

Fun fact! A lot of the original trilogy wide shots actually WERE paintings, just with moving ships/people/etc edited on top!

For me, among the first six movies, SW II and SW V are the most beautiful ones. And I see that most of the scenes you have shown are from these movies, so I'm very happy.
