One thing I love about the movie is how Andrew introduces himself and pronounces his name like "Nayman" how it's supposed to be, and Fletcher always calls him "Neeman".

+Aigg Ebe That says so much about Fletcher doesn't it?

Not really. It follows the rule of thirds religiously. It stands out because of how strictly it follows the rules. It's just so good at using said rules to communicate its' point, that it stands out. It also uses said rules in a fairly unconventional manner.

To me the shot at 2:03 shows how his instrument has power over him since it takes up a large portion of the frame and is squishing him into the corner. It could also show that he lives a very unbalanced life since the framing is unbalanced.

Hey Darious! I am 14 years old, and I have been writing a short film about a teenager who is destined to be one of the great painters today when in a freak accident, he suddenly loses his eye sight completely. My dad read it and he loved it - he reads most of my scripts and he thought this was my best yet. He said I shouldn't shoot it at all because he thinks I am being way too ambitious and questions how I'm going to acquire all those paintings/canvases and how I'm show through paintings that he is an amazing painter even after being blind for a couple years. Should I wait a while until I have got a lot more resources than I do now, or should i hustle more and try and do it sooner? Thanks for your time...

Hey Darious I'm working on a big project. I'm willing to spend the next 3 years of my life on it. So once I get the rough draft of the script done I'm going to book a consultation because I know I'm going to need your help. The film sends a message and the end goal is the big screens
@Hotshot24148 жыл бұрын
Maaaann, I always wondered how hard it was for the cinematographer to show Andrew drumming in the drumming finale without it looking too ingenuine, because this is the one part of the film which Miles can't pull off himself. I think they did a great job at hiding it, and I'm certain at some point they sped up footage to get his drum rolls to look faster - things I've noticed as an experienced drummer :P
